I've had the same problem happen twice in 3 weeks, here goes- 3 weeks ago these problems all started in one day-squeek, squeek noise coming from front passenger wheel, when braking the truck would pull to the left, brake pedal would fade, and finally when making right turns there was a clunk. I jacked up the truck and found that the passenger side wheel was wobbling on the stub shaft, the castle nut had destroyed the cotter key and "moved" up the shaft, stripping the threads. So, we took the truck back to a shop that did my ball joints last year thinking they had stripped the nut reinstalling it, they replaced the stub shaft, I got a new nu from Mopar4less :) , and completed the fix last friday. This past friday, on my way home from work, same symptoms all come back, this morning I jacked the truck back up, and the same thing happened!!! Everything is messed up again! So now I need to replace the same parts, but I need to find out what caused this otherwise I'll be doing it again next week. Could a bad or warped rotor be the culprit? I noticed a slight "shink" like sound coming from the wheel when driving home Thursday, if that helps. Any info will be greatly appreciated, thank you...

Okay, rotor looks okay, could a bad caliper cause this? Can't imagine how, but something on there is causing a force strong enough to force the castle nut off the threads of the stub shaft.

Bummer! I cannot think of why/how that could occur twice. What about the washer that goes on before the castle nut?

The washer is there, everything, I mean that castle nut wanted to come off, if it weren't for the cotter key, I'd have a really exciting drive! The shaft is smooth now where the nut "slid" off. Could a faulty caliper, let's say it only pushes one way, (out" have enough force to do this?

Check the front wheel bearing and the spline inside the hub, the bearings should be tight even when the nut is loose, if the bearings are loose you need a new bearing and hub assembly.
