I have a 2007 dodge 2500 4x4 auto and when I pull 5ft wheel camper expecially hilly roads it will shift hard few times an then will not shift above 4th will sift up to there hard but won't go pas 4th , shut it off a bit then will go thus all gears till get to where it does it again . Had to transmission shop said all is good , please help

When it acts up, will it still shift 1-2-3-4, or does it go from 1st directly to 4th? Any fault codes? Are you by any chance running a line pressure "booster"?

No it goes 1 thru 4 an won't go in 5th or 6 shifts little harder thru 1-4* no add on to trans

No it goes 1-4 bUT shifts little harder won't go into 5 and 6 ,no line booster

If it shifts directly from 1st to 4th, then you have a Gear Ratio Error fault set. Trans is slipping internally. You will need to check the TCM fault codes to see which code is being set (that is, which gear it is slipping in).

1 2 3 4 works *shifts little hard but won't go into 5 and 6 till shut off only codes I get are for exaust*

I guess if you have an exhaust fault, that might affect it. Haven't heard of that happening specifically, but I would try to fix that fault and then see if it's still bad.
