Recently when I start my pride and joy it has been stumbling . It's not been a constant problem , and doesn't seem to change with the temp. , or the period of time that it sets. When I turn the key , it starts fine , then it will almost instantaniously , sputter/miss . The problem will usually leave as quick as it comes.

I have replaced the return , supply hoses and the pre-filter screen is clean . The grid heater is working and the guy behind the wheel is scratchin' his head.

Not sure if this will solve anything for you but, I notice a big improvement by replacing the sealing washers in the banjo fittings! I was suprised at the poor condition of the rubberized coating on the washers I removed. After starting and running after the new washers, it was VERY obvious that those things sucked a bunch of air. Good luck.

I made all of my sealing washers for the fittings out of copper. Many can be found at hardware stores.
