My stock 04. 5 with 121,000 mi. has recently begun stumbling on the first start of the day, and after sitting for at least six hours. It does this for a second or two, then runs smoothly from then on. Ambient temps have been 70's to low 100's. Checked and replaced the o-ring on the fuel filter canister. Fuel filter is full of fuel, no external leakage anywhere on the truck. No noticeable loss of power.

The FCA is the original, as is the lift pump. This has just started after I changed my fuel filter, that's why I checked the o-ring, and made sure filter cover was on tight. Occasionally, and only recently, the engine will idle roughly for a few minutes after exiting the freeway and sitting at a light.

I did a forum search and didn't find the same situation. Open to suggestions.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks Prairie Dog.
I think I'll just stop by Cummins on Monday and pick up a replacement FCA. From what I've read, I seem to have gotten good life out of the original. In the mean time, to satisfy my curiosity, how many ounces of 2 stroke to a full tank of fuel?
