Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Alright, I need to vent here, cuz this really ****** me off, and has now has me kinda worried. Heres the story...
Wife and I are driving home from the Twins game tonight and I see a car pull over to the side of the road only to flip on his brights. Probably a good 1/2 mile down the road and just park there. There was a car about 1/4 mile ahead of me, and they did the usually flick of the brights to tone it down. The car then wips out from the side of the road and tails this car within maybe 3-5 feet for over 2 miles. Every time they turned their blinker on, so did the jack ***. I watching all this got ****** off, and called 911. This idiot was obviously frightening the hell out of the people in the car and I couldnt just sit back and watch. Anyway, tell the dispatcher the story of what was going on and they dispatch a crusier to the area, but due to a medical in the area, it may be a while. No biggy, i will follow this moron as long as needed. I hung up with the dispatcher because they said they had someone in route so I figured I would back off a little but still tag along in case this idiot decided to chase another car the other way. Well the car being tailed pulled into a turn lane and slowed down. I slowed way down too, and the perp must have saw me, be cause the tailgatee took off and the perp stopped and pulled to the side of the road. I then got caught with my pants down turning into a development (not mine) and this prick wipped around and followed me. Well I called 911 back and told them this idiot was now following me. Ended up at a dead end turn around that kinda got me worried but the Ol' Jeep with the superchips did one hell of a turn around and high tailed it out of there. They tailed me for another 5 miles back the other way we had come.
I could have really played with these idiots to see just how good they were behind the wheel. For goodness sakes they were driving a 2nd gen Intrepid and I was driving a 4. 7ltr V8 with a superchips programmer, No speed limiter, but with Angie in the jeep with me and cops in route, speeding and aggressive driving seemed like a bad idea.
Anyway, end up in two different jurisdictions and transfered to the local city police when I crossed out of County Boundries. Come to a 4-way stop, and the idiots (3 juvenile dip****s) pull up along side me. Of course now I am more into the worried catagory, they see my wife, they have my plate most likely, and Angies Jeep has a Moab sticker in the rear window. Its not my vehicle, as if they want to find and play with me again, i wouldnt care, but its Angies, she drives it, so obviously I am worried about her, not me.
So, on goes the ordeal, they pass me and proceed to keep going, i still on the line with the local PD keep a distant tail now, but at this point, I aint letting these pieces of trash get away. Pass a cop going the other way about 1/2 mile away from the 4way. Kids got stuck at the next stop light as I just kept passing them by. Cop pulled up behind the Intrepid and pulled them after they turned off the main drag.
I went around the block and when I passed through the 4way on the same road I saw the perps pulled over about 2 blocks away, and gave them a good ol' F-YOU two finger salute! Obviously not with an open window or anything, just a yell inside the cab with my fingers pressed against the window!
I guess the thing that worries me the most about this is that I dont drive the Jeep, Angie does, and as these we most likely local HS kids, and the car was registered in this city, I am worried about the retaliation factor. Angie was a little upset and now feels like she needs to lose the Moab sticker that we bough while in Moab, shes proud of that sticker, the Jeep earned it! I am going to get different plates tomorrow for it. Wanted to get some of the "support our troops" plates anyway.
Those of you in Law enforcement, is there a way to find out anything about this incident? I wana find out where these piles live. Not to do anything at all, I just want to make sure they are not a close neighbor.
Lastly, wtf is wrong with kids these days? Seriously, what fun is there really in scaring the hell out of someone? If that would have been Angie alone in that car, she would have been scared to death, and rightfully so, as any woman should be. To be honest, if I would have been driving my truck, this would have probably ended with them firmly planted under my rear bumper, and probably in bad shape cuz it didnt look like they were wearing seat belts. Are kids really that stupid? Who doesnt have a cell phone on them these days? Did they really think they would have gotten away with {expletive} like that?
Anyway, the Jeep did me proud though, she moved when I wanted it to. I heard it begging for more, but oh well, better to be safe than sorry.
