Just have to vent b4 I snap. saved up and bought a complete HX 35 and mailed to Piers diesel to trick out and UPS lost It. They dropped it off to an addresss that doesnt exist!! Also the shipper didnt put the additional insurance like I asked. Anyway does anyone have a complete 12 cm hx35 around?

I saw a UPS Cummins powered truck launch from my stop sign with a burnout that was awsume, I think he must have your turbo on his rig ;) ... ... ..... just kidding, sorry

Do you have the receit that shows your insurance paid for the trip? If so they are in big trouble, I would call UPS and explain the delima and maybe you can get them to caugh up your turbo or the cash for another one

good luck, Kevin

LOST TURBO

THATS THE BAD THING, I AM ALWAYS VERY EXPLICED TO GET THE RIGHT INSURANCE BUT THIS TIME I DID NOT STAND THERE AND HOLD THE GUYS HAND ------ HE ONLY DID THE MINIMUM $100. 00 I KNOW ITS ONLY WORTH $350. 00 BUT STILL IF I WANTED TO DO THIS I WOULD HAVE GONE TO TAHOE AND PLAYED CRAPS. THEY ARE DOING A TRACER BUT IT GOT DELIVERED A WEEK AGO, PROBABLY BEING USED FOR A CRACK PIPE OR ITS ON A 1969 CUTLAS SUPREME.

RAndre, Rip is going to be selling his PDR35-12 very soon

It would be less expensive than buying and refurbishing ;)

shoot em an email -- email address removed --

it has very little mileage :)

Hey Rob, sorry to hear about that. I hope they can locate it or at least reimburse you. Just stay on them, and try to get the names of people that you talk to - they are a very large company.

Like when FedEx lost my transmission...

Don't waste time being mister nice guy. Demand to talk to the head honcho what's in charge, get on their claims dept right away, contact your state's Attorney General's office, what ever it takes.

FedEx strung me along until I got PO'd. Funny how a few calls can motivate people. When I picked it up at the local terminal after they located it, the dockworker all but told me it was there all along.

UPS is a completely WORTHLESS operation.

Don't use UPS for anything.

I have had a good 80 percent problem rate with them. They have lost items, and I can always count on them damaging an item regardless how it's packed. This is because they drop heavy boxes and crates ON TOP of your small boxes...

I shipped an aluminum oil pan to someone recently, and it got there damaged. The pan weighed about 3 pounds. I could THROW THE BOX ACROSS THE ROOM AT A WALL and it would not have damaged it..... yet, UPS damaged it because they crushed it.

Go ahead, try and make a claim..... fat chance.

THEY ARE WORTHLESS LOSERS.

i beg to differ... i worked for UPS for several years doing the local sort... . altho the way things work r time= money... ... on the general concensus they do a pretty good job on handling the packages. chances r that the guy shipping the turbo put the wrong address down and the driver, if the address wasnt found, should not have just dropped it off at what he thought it said on the package. he should have brought the package back to the center and called the shipper to verify the address. with any delivery systems there will b problems, keep that in mind. as far as the insurance thing goes, the guy shipping should foot the bill if it is never found, since he did not put the extra insurance on there.

lost

The correct address was put on the package double verified that. I agree UPS could damage a box of rubber balls, they have no respect- do not care and just -throw -crush- kick - smash whatever.

Thats my opinion for the most part --I have got packages that where OK and Not all drivers ect are like that.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, I've dealt w/ UPS on numerous occasions, and never had a problem. I also have many friends who also deal w/ UPS both shipping and recieving, and have had maybe one problem in 10 or so years. Maybe it's the location in the country, but in the Northeast, esp. VT, they seem to do a good job at getting things to thier destinations undamaged and on time. Just my $. 02.

Whatever dude... .

UPS can hardly ever get it right. I'm sure I'm alone on this, and it's just my luck but hey go figure... right???

Trust me, UPS is the most convenient for me to use, YET, I will no longer use them.

Does this sound like my imagination?

This is exactly why I HATE using UPS. I have NEVER had a good experience dealing with them. I would rather use Priority Mail at the Post Office.

I'm to the point where I don't even buy from vendors that ship UPS anymore. I would rather pay more and buy locally. It just isn't worth the aggrevation.

Maybe UPS really stands for Ultimate Poor Service.

I think the UPS thing depends on where you're at. I've been in the bay area and wouldn't use UPS to ship a steel brick. I've also been in places where UPS never had any problems. It might've been the sort point or whatever.

Anyway, RAndrae, if you need an HX-35 12cm, I have a takeoff from my truck. I've never had any problems with it and it's sitting in a bag in my garage. I really don't care what I get for it, as long as it's fair. I was thinking about turning it into a jet engine but I haven't had the motivation to do it.

P. S. Good luck with the claim.

Where does the Vendor's liability end? What about UPS? You ordered something and payed for it and didn't receive the goods. Regardless of the circumstances, you should not have to buy another turbo. It should be the vendor or UPS: most likely UPS, since the Vendor has no control over the product once it's in the hands of the shipping company, unless you can prove that the vendor supplied faulty information to UPS.

On the picture: the last one standing wins, right? :-laf

Concerning UPS: I have used them quite extensively and I have never had a problem. No packages or products were ever damaged. I guess it depends on where you are.
