I have had my HX35W rebuild kit in my toolbox for some time now and today I finally got up courage enough to dig in. I posted a while back about the turbine side of my turbo leaking oil. It was not hard to work on at all. I marked the compressor wheel, shaft and nut for orientation before disassembly so as to get the balance the same as it was and so I would know how tight to reinstall the nut since I don't have specs. The sealing rings were worn so I'm hoping this solves the problem, so far so good. I got it up to about 34 PSI and it didn't explode so that's a good sign. The truck has 97k+ on it now.
Here are some pictures of the job, enjoy.
