I was driving along then suddenly engine starts with a miss but no smoke, then ck engine lamp pops on, I limp to where Im a here on vacation..Feel like a dead cylinder, Have some tools and a DVO meter in my camper. Code give me a intake air temp voltage Too low P0112..Cleared codes, wont come back or any code for cylinder or cylinder miss fire..Pull the injector connectors apart at the valve cover, Do a Ohm test to the wire and injectors- all 6 read 00.6 ohms.. Pull valve cover ( now I have no test equipment) so I measure voltage to the injectors- 12.25v, then I pulled the driver wires to the injectors to do a power balance #2 had no change on how it runs,I set a code for each cylinder that I pulled its Driver wirer ...were Im at there are 3 mechanics here too which all say its a bad injector.. It sounds logical ......So the truck is missing and has a fuel type of rattle/ off note.....Ok remove #2 injector plus I pull the map sensor which is melted and deformed- Order a Bosch reman injector plus the Map sensor...2 days later the parts come here and I replaced them....Start up the truck, dam the miss is there except the engine is quieter and still had the dead cylinder but now I can hear a sound like a exhaust gasket leak-(But its on the intake side) puff puff puff sound in the Intake side of the motor,So i now pull my boost gauge hose off the intake plenum and feel the beat off air escape from the nipple.....ok pull VC again ck all Rockers and Valve springs- Look ok and so is the valve gap for no adj closed up... pull the driver wire to #2 very little change in the Miss or RPM drop.....I was told by a fellow member whom I asked for help(Thank You) that it could be a burnt intake valve. After checking it all out 4 times it comes back to #2 cylinder and puff puff sound and the pules from the Intake nipple that pules I to feel its Mechanical.. at 95,000 miles of towing to burn out a valve disturbs me,valve were adj twice,last at 80,000miles..Now to have my truck running great and next second a Valve is Burnt just doesn't seem right for there should have been a warning issue like ruff idle So now I need to Tow my truck 367mi home......But before a truck comes for it/Quotes of 475 to 525$,WOW Any ideas?--something I miss, dont have a compression tester/Gauge to use I have EGT,Boost,Trans Temp Gauges and always keep temps below 1200*F Pre Turbo Im Lost and being away from home Rots Any Thoughs or Ideas?
