I have a 95' 2500 4x4 with a stock engine that I am thinking about juicing up. I currently have a 4" open exhaust, no silencer, and an ats stage 4 transmission. What would you recomend for a start to juicing up the engine.

Gages First. Some 370's and a 3k spring kit,a good fuel plate and timing. :D :D

From what I have read with the little 160hp pumps you are not going to be able to run 370 injectors that well. They will not run smooth. One thing that some people will do is get a bigger pump. Just maters how much hp you are looking for.

I asked Piers about upgrading my 160HP, my goal is 350HP rwhp HP with 700+ ft/lb of torque with as little smoke as possible; here's what they came back with:



I would suggest a #10 camplate slide forward . 060", a set of 191 delivery

valves and a set of 215hp injectors. Our 12v camshaft, ATS manifold and our

reworked HX35 for more air. A south bend Con O clutch is good for 400hp and

because you don't tow heavy, will work fine. You will have to run a upgraded

filter system also for your truck. A 3K GSK will help with your 4. 56 diff. gearing.



I already have EGT and boost gauges and the truck is being converted to an NV4500HD.
 
I liked 181 dv's with 3k gsk, 0 plate, 300 inj. , adjustable elbow set at 39 to 40 psi , the napa 2790 (i believe thats the part #) air filter, lightest spring in the afc housing. in fact i didnot feel that much difference between this setup compared to my now 191 dv's with 370 inj . and a number #6 plate. just a lot more smoke. then again i haven't put on the hx40 yet.
 
I would be doing that but financial issues prevent me from just doing it. Step by step though, getting what I need. Got the 3K GSK..... saving up for the 370s and a timing adjustment right now.
 
i bought a set of diamond b's from piers today and i dont even own a p-pump truck yet. but i will! and these are the best 1st bomb. from what i here anyway. then i will do my clutch and then 0plate. of course gauges at the sametime the 370's go in. cutted exhaust and AFE.
