The clip that holds my sun glass holder closed has finally snapped off. Evidently it is still available from dodge. Problem is, it will probably be grey where the old one is beige. Any ideas on the best way to paint that ? And what and where to get the paint ?

Thx

Geno's has paint or you should be able to get it at most any auto parts store like O'Reilly or AutoZone.

Thanks,
When I asked yesterday if the door was still available (I was quite surprised that it is), they guy told me it would probably be grey. When I went in and ordered it today, the guy at the counter told me that, for 2002, they are all beige, which is what I want. I guess Ill find out tomorrow. If it is grey, Ill give genos a call.

Sem makes a plastic prep that would be a good idea. I used it when I changed my dash. It actually softens the plastic enough to help absorb the dye/paint. The # should be floating around here on one of my dash posts, if I find it I will let you know. A good wax and grease remover and lintless towels are also a good idea.

Removal of the console actually sounds very easy

Got it installed. The parts guy suggested that I just ask one of the techs to pop the old one off and pop the new one on for me. Did that. That option works great. :-laf No charge. And he didnt have to remove the console. He just removed the overhead lamp lenses and was able to reach what he needed to from there. BTW, there has been a lot of gnawing and gnashing of teeth regarding dodge dealers over the years. And I am one who has gnawed and gnashed. I dealt with 4 other dodge dealers in the seattle area, and each one was crooked at one point or another and/or incompetent. But the one Ive been going to for the last couple of year is by far the best dealer Ive ever dealt with, for any car. Whether it be dodge, chev, gmc, toyota, datsun, etc.

If they are good they deserve a plug. Which dealer is it?
