You folks might think I'm crazy but I would take it in half a second if its complete. If it were me and the insurance company totaled it, I would buy it back and part it out. I would definitely take the engine and trans out of it even if they needed a rebuild.

I wonder if you could pull the rubber off the brake pedal and put some of that sticky sandpaper type stuff on like is used for non-slip in an industrial site or on stairs? Maybe take the rubber piece to a tire shop and have them put studs in :-laf . How long was it under?
WHamby said:The problem is not the fluids. They are easy to change. It is the corosion of the electronics that may not show themselves for weeks or months. Then you would have to go back and argure witht the insurance company. I have seen sensors, radio, gauges, and other stuff go out on a Ford Taurus that was in a flood in Houston. Some of them didn't go out for months and they were very corroded when removed.

THIS SUCKS :{

OneBucsFan said:I met with an adjuster from Progressive today. They are not going to cover any of the aftermarket accessories (about $8000 worth), including the bumpers. They are treating the RanchHands like stock, as in they do not add any value to the vehicle, therefore, I will not be compensated for them... . Here is the best part, if I take the RanchHands off, then they are going to DEDUCT $1100 off the price of the truck because it will not have any bumpers (I don't have the stock ones).
