:-{} Any owners of Sunnybrook 5th wheel trailers out there. I have a 2001 31BWFS with a bedroom and sofa/dinette side out. The rubber seal on the slides have a steel spring clamp system to hold them to the slides. Over the years the steel has completely rusted away and the seal no longer holds on the slides. I contacted Sunnybrook about the design of these seals. They told me that when the seals are placed on the slides they use a sealer called Geocel to water proof the seals so they will not rust. The only sealant is where the 2 pieces of rubber meet. Being my trailer is 5 yrs old he said they can not do any warranty work on it. My problem should have been caught during its yearly inspection at the dealer. What yearly inspection ????? My dealer is now out of business. I am no rocket scientist but I can tell there was never any sealant applied to this seal. The guy that puts the sealant on must have been off the day my was built. Again the statement that it should have been caught at the yearly inspection. I checked on prices of the seal, they are saying $ 6. 00 to $8. 00 per foot. I need about 50 foot. I would like them to at least supply me with the seal since it was not properly sealed at the factory. I am thinking about writing to Trailer Life magazine and have them intervene on this problem. If there are any Sunnybrook owners with slides, check your seals before they rust away. :-{}
