Competition any one using dual cp3's?

Competition 10% off saftey gear

Well, with the winter now settling in to the great white and the truck in the shop for the winter its time to get some work done to it once I have time! There arn't that many things that have to be done yet to the truck to have it totally setup for pulling other than drive shaft loops and a few other things. The main thing that I need to do yet is setup the twins and before I get into fabrication mode I thought I would post to hear about the average twins used in the Super Street class? I am planning on going with a HTT SP66/14 with a highly modified waste gate for the small charger and a HTT Super 4C/26 (same size as a Big Brother but has the holset style housings) which will work better for my piping setup on the truck.

Fuel wise... here is the setup. 215pump, custom cam, 13mm P&B's, 5gsk,afc mods, 100 plate,191dv's(probably going to cut dv's),. 120 stainless lines, 5x18's Haisley injectors.

Can I go bigger for the twins or should I stick with what I have? I can run a reducer on the large charger!

Anyway, thanks guys! just trying to figure this out before I go nuts with the tig!

any recomendations or sizes I should look for? PM me if you don't want to post the info but I am sure others might like to hear this also. Personally I have never heard of what the big guys use other than seeing them in person and there HUGE! one thing to know though is that I am still looking for something is that still kind of streetable... I will no longer be driving it as a DD but it will get some weekend driving but that being said... I can deal with lag and keep the smoke down and I don't really drive it in town!

Would you need an external wastegate with this setup or would the wastegate on the SPS66 with a little extra porting and a spacer plate do the trick? Just curious.

High Tech told me that what the did as far as porting and the big spacer for the waste gate will be better than an external gate... cost was about the same so I took there word for it!

As far as being competative... up here in Ontario, Canada we are a little behind you guys so my setup will work alright I believe. We actually have a 4500rpm limit which sucks but oh well... .

Short of just knowing what 4500rpm sounds line. how can they prove you spun up to 5000rpm?

Actually the pump has a 4gsk in it but when I had the cam custom ground from Piers back in the spring I also sent him the govenor and he worked his magic and lightend it up. On the stand it turned to a max of 5700 rpm and then then turned it down to 4500 or close to it anyway with adjusting the springs. The govenor is alot different now that its lighted up and the rpms seeem to pick up alot faster than my brothers 215 pump with a 4gsk. . My rules state 4500rpm under no load and the tach doesn't seem to go over that mark. My tach goes to 6000rpm which is the factor 6. 5L cluster!
