Competition truck and tractor pull in wauseon,OH

I have a '02, 2500 4X4 extend cab long bed Dodge Diesel. I want to put about a 4 inch suspension lift on this truck. Can anyone make a suggestion on which one to use or which one works the best.

Thanks.

Skyjacker 4. 5" is prolly the best lift for that lift height. Alot of people use them and they are pretty simple.

I'd suggest a DT trackbar though. I have heard solid steel is coming out w/ a bracket that uses the '03 stock track bar which would prolly be cheaper, and just as good, but not adjustable.

texas truck toys will let you piece together a lift. www.texastrucktoys.com

the cepek long arms w/ sj 7" coils and atlas replacement rear springs all at once so you can get rid of the block. it surprised the heck out of me for what is cost for that set up. wasnt bad at all.

www.pavementsucks.com has a lot of information on lifting the dodge pickups, and ttt takes care of a large part of the guys over there. it would be worth calling the the guy and seeing what he can do for you.

I agree that the DC longarms are the best, but he only wants around 4" of lift and you need at least 6" for that kit, not to mention that alot of people don't like the fact that they cannot put their truck back to stock.

I've had good luck with the Skyjacker 4. 5 setup. I don't have personal experience with the heim jointed control arms, but the consensus on TDR seems to be stick with polyurethane unless you NEED the heims for articulation. They wear out fairly quick and allow a good bit of road noise and harshness to transfer to your frame/body/seat.

Also, if I was doing it again with what I know now, I'd use a larger block in the back with some traction bars to prevent wheel hop. I have issues with the SJ rear springs compressing differently under heavy tongue weight and they are about 1/4" different in static height (fixed both issues with individually controlled airbags)

Which ever lift you use, make sure you get new rear springs rather than a lift block. It makes a HUGE difference in the ride of the truck (better) and lots more articulation in the rear. The lift block is a bandaid that causes rear wheel hop.
