Swap stock 3.73 for 3.42

Thinking about doing this on sig truck for fuel savings and better cruising RPMs. Probably looking at a couple grand. Is it worth it?

All I can say is that I absolutely love my 3. 42 ratio on my truck, but I bought it that way from stock. Whether its worth it to you or not is something only you can answer.

Below are the speed / RPM / gear combos I'm in:
This is on a stock setup, so tires are the stock 32" or whatever the on/off-road tires are from the factory on the 08s. Hope it helps.

I've been thinking about doing the swap... but at $1800-2000 its a bit pricey and I'm having to think about it a bit harder then some other mods.
