Ok,..... Ok... ... Why on earth would I WANT to swap my 6speed for an auto? I'll tell ya..... I have developed a back problem that keeps me from pushing the clutch. Now, with that question out of the way, who has good advice on doing it? I would like to hang an allison behind it, but know that is damn nearly impossible. But I would like to have a good automatic transmission that will go in. I dont want to sell my truck and buy a PSD or Maxipad, too exp anyways. Just want a good 4 speed or more auto to go in.

Am I missing something? Was there supposed to be a link in this post? Where can I find more info on this?

Anyway, I have a 1yr old Suncoast complete transmission. Problem is mine is a 99 "analog". I guess the 01's have a "digitial" trany interface. (or something like that. All I know is that I got the wrong one from another order placed the same day from an '00 and mine truck would not talk to the trany right. Once I got the new VB everything was ok. )

I would love a swap but as I understand it you have to swap like all the computers, wires, keyless entry/alarm... yada, yada, yada. Better off getting a new truck. I know there was a couple of guys who did it before... Check the posts and they can give you more information.

Good luck.
