My friend just bought my NV5600 and Southbend dd clutch along with the starter, the adapter plate, steering column and pedals out of my '02 2500 to put in his '01 3500 drw auto. He has it in the truck and driving but I don't know what to tell him to do about the wiring from the old auto and it is throwing codes since the wires are just tied up unplugged. He tried putting the ECM from an '01 6spd in it but it threw codes and lit up the dash like a Christmas tree. Is there a reason the standard ECM won't work in his truck or is there a way to use resistors or maybe jump the wires into fooling the stock ECM to thinking it is ok because as of now the truck has no power and I'm thinking it may be in "limp" mode. . Sorry for the vagueness of the question, he lives a pretty good distance from me and I haven't been able to check it out first hand.
