We are often told that our deisel is noisy and smelly and as this is true, here is a little story that gives good reason to have it.
We were sitting at a red light this morning when a BMW convertable sports car pulled up to the passenger side of our truck. The driver was a husky man in a white shirt and tie. I was in the process of saying that althought not being a sports car lover that was a classy looking car, when the driver leaned out put one finger to the side of his nose and blew nasal fluid at our truck. Ray said" that's not classy". We both came from a generation that a "gentleman" carried a crisp, white, ironed, most likely monagramed, handkercheif. Then the guy did it again I was about to open the window and say something when I noticed the truck edging forward. I mentioned to Ray that the light was still red. "I know", he said very calmly, "I'm going to smoke him". As the light turned green, I looked back but for some reason I couldn't see the little sports car or that snot blowing yuppie driving it. All that was there was a cloud of black smoke. Just made my day. That's one dam good reason we own a deisel.
