Good luck with the new Ford truck, I have driven several '05's and like them very much. I think they have the 6. 0L engine under control now, making amens with International brung a end to the programing issues. Ford has a lot to offer right now, they have the best automatic transmission, best suspension and highest payload and towing capacities. They out tow Dodge by 3000lbs, yes I know Dodge will tow more then it is rated at, but so will the Ford, the difference is the ford will tow over 19,000lbs Legally!! The new trucks also have a much tighter turning radius, that is really noticeable and handy. I love my old Dodge and will keep it till it rust in half, but for a new model, Ford has the truck to beat. Dodge has had plenty of time to build a better truck, they just don't want too. It's ashame because they could easily have a much better product if they would just replace the present automatic with a modern 5 or 6 speed auto, and redesign the interior to offer captains chairs and innovative features like the new Ford. I have read several reports suggesting Dodge will address some of these issues, I hope they are true, and Dodge reacts in a timely manor. Good luck with your new Ford.
