ok. ya personally i havent heard one person make a complaint about the synergy draglink for the 14+ trucks but thats not to say i havent over looked some threads

the pinch bolts have to be minimum of 90ftlb. alot of people probly just use two box end wrenches and i have serious doubts you would get it tight enough. even if you could get it to 90 you would have no way to know you were at 90.
long 1/2" ratchet could easily get to 90 but again, you would have no way to know if your at 90 or 78 or 112 etc .
box end or ratchet on the bolt head so it doesnt turn and torq wrench on the nut seems like the best way.
the rod may still turn until you get to the 60 or 70ftlb range.
if you didnt use a torq wrench or didnt prevent the bolt from turning while torqing, it would really call into question your claim about the rod being faulty.
if the rod was faulty as you say, im suprised synergy didnt immediatly take it back as thats what any reputable company would do
Where did I say, I utilized a box wrench???? Everything was torqued with a torque wrench. Your ASSumptions is far off.

Whether you’re a cheerleader or work for the company. That’s the case Crazy. Apparently someone on page 1 had issues also. No, they never ask for any of the components back for exchange because they said it was good.

So far, my drag link is working as advertised. Sorry I started a storm with this. I will install the tie rod next week. _

sorry i have no affiliation what so ever with synergy. not sure i even heard the name until 6 or 8 months ago.
i have no problem asking questions and/ or calling people out if i hear a sketchy story about any product.
a draglink isnt a complex component. knowing that, it should be childs play figuring out why the bar wouldnt clamp down on the rod end, at 90ftlb. were the ears welded on wrong or what was your conclusion ? surely it cant be a unsolved mystery

still im stumped you sent synergy photo and video of your claims, and more or less in not so many words, they told you to pound sand. thats some of the worst business practices ive heard of

Installed the tie rod with no problems. Used the parallel bar and parallel string method to set the toe so I could take it in for an alignment. The alignment shop said they had done several first alignments on Rams with the Synergy tie rod and drag link and not one had to come back. The shop owner said that they appear to be well made and doesn’t think I will have any issues. That was good to hear. It follows most of the reviews I’ve seen on various forums.

The mechanic said I was only a quarter turn out on my string alignment for the tow. That’s about 1/16. Also, the shop I used has been in business since the 50’s and doesn’t use computer alignment. They do it old school and they do a great job.

So I’m pleased with the Synergy so far. I’ll see how well it performs in the long run.

I didn’t have any trouble finding issues, which is why I went OEM.

AH64ID - thanks again for the part number and info. had the newer mopar drag link installed today. gave the recalled welded one to the shop owner, because he likes to play with welders, and his wife thinks he is an artist. :)

I went back to the OEM because I replaced both end twice in 25k miles and Synergy wouldn't do a thing to help now I'm on round three and my lawyer has been called it fell off when i was pulling my horse trailer. Synergy is the biggest scum bags wouldn't buy anything from them again. The stock one was on for 90k never a issue then the welding the nuts but i put back on and pray the welds don't break.

20,000 mile review. No problems with the drag link and tie rod from synergy. Everything is tight. Front end alignment, toe in are both good. Just checked the bolt torques as recommended by Synergy and they were just like I installed them. Steering is tight and smooth.
So overall, I’m happy with the components. Just thought I would give an update. I saw where people have had problems but I haven’t had any and have no complaints.
