How much have you spent on your truck in the last year?

Hurry get 2nd issue of Diesel Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Picked up a diesel liberty last week and it comes out of the box with synthetic oil (MOBIL I ) Question is should I run dino in it for 10K Manual says to run synthetic . what do you think

The line I've always heard from Amsoil guys is, "you can break-in an engine on mobile, but not on Amsoil. " If it's in there from factory, I wouldn't worry about it.

hey is it mobil 1 5w40? if it is thats the best diesel oil on the market. if you want any literature on that oil than email me. you can run that oil through any temp extreme no matter where you go. my 96 ram engine ,injection pump and turbo love it. by the way i have seen and heard of people having trouble with amsoil. i have never heard a problem with mobil 1.

the ow40 mobil 1 is for european applications hence vm motori and co from italy. i personally would use mobil 1 5w40 do to its more diesel additive package.

i talked to mobil about your particuler application and said that mobil 1 5w40 would be fine but with warranty issues you better stick with mobil 1 ow40. mobil 1 0w40 has a diesel rating i never saw before, it must be some kind of european rating.

this is one of the ratings on mobil 1 0w40 gm-LL-b-025 diesel. anyone no what it means?
It means it meets Opel specs.

Opel Long Life Service Fill GM-LL-A-025

Opel Diesel Service fill GM-LL-B-025

This specification addresses high (HTHS) High Temperature High Shear and very low volatility to drastically decrease oil consumption.

Most all synthetic oils that meets european standards will have this specification.
