Synthetic motor oil viscosity

I've used the High performance 10w-40 synthetic from Amsoil in my 99 for 75000 ( at 15000 mile drain intervals) pulling a 7000 pound trailer without a problem. The thing I do is change the oil filter every 3750 miles.

Thank you Crazy Horse! However, you just cost me approx $210 because I want to buy Amsoil I/O gear lube and engine oil for the boat and 12 qts of Severe Duty gear oil for the truck and Durango... :-laf

They have 3 different diesel engine oils... 5W-40 CJ, 15W-40 CJ and 15W-40 CI+ For my truck, I should get the 15W-40 CI+ right??

Yes. $10 for a 6 month membership and I reveived approx 25% the retail prices. I ordered on WED night late and it was delivered on FRI... great service!!



However, my 6 month membership came with a bunch of propaganda on being a dealer... really reminds me of Amway...



Hopefully, they wont push the issue...

Amsoil, AMway, Mary Kay etc etc etc... is Pyramid selling, not a Pyramid scheme. The more ppl that sign up under you, the more you make. Most of the Amsoil dealers I have known or dealt with are pretty cool even though they are nothing more than cut and pasters from Amsoil info. A couple actually go above and beyond and learn on their own You do get your gung-ho dealer every now and then that will push push push.
