That filter may be little better than the Amsoil full-flow filter. But the Amsoil bypass filter is 98% efficient at 2 microns.
I put Amsoil 15W40 Diesel & Marine in my '98 12V at 60k miles and installed the dual remote bypass unit at the same time. I didn't drain the oil pan until 290k miles; I only replaced the full flow filter every 12k miles and the bypass filter every 25k miles, and added make-up oil to replace what was in the filter(s). 23 years I've been driving the truck; it's showing its age, but it still starts and runs reliably every time. I'd *still* drive it cross-country if I had reason to (I did last year, headed to Ann Arbor, then across the U.P. to NW Wisc. And back.)
