After having checked several parts houses, I've been unable to locate synthetic power steering fluid. I'm having the same stiff steering in cold weater as several others have experienced. . Any suggestions of a source that doesn't have a 5 gallon minimum would be appreciated!

Thanks--

I have in the past flushed out my p/s fluid with just normal fluid and have had good sucsess. I used valvolines brand (pyroil),it seems to be a little thinner than others i have tried.

Denny, Red-Line makes synthetic power steering fluid. It comes in quart bottles, about $8. 00 a quart. Works excellent in cold weather. -Glen

Having the same problem no parts stores in town have any synthetic. does any one have a phone or e-address for Redline? thanks

I see the Valvoline syntech line power steering fluid in pint and qts at Wal-mart, Autozone, Pep Boys, and Checker auto. However, Valvoline is the only brand of synthetic power steering fluid I've seen carried in stores.
