I received my T. Rex Fox system from Kent today. I have been reading and following the updates since last year. I was real excited to find out it was finally mine. As most of you know, I have been on the forums for a while and I will do a very honest and valuable install on my truck. I have very high expectations for the system and will report back on it as I see it. No bull just the facts Mame! The system I got is for heavy off-road abuse. Almost a racing style shock valving. It will be interesting to see how easy it is to install and to see how well it performs. I will take pictures as I install components and you will see a before and after look at a truck that started life as a DRW and is now a SRW desert machine. When I first saw the T. Rex truck, I wanted to have this stuff worse than anything else. My truck was a big 4x4 DRW beast and I wanted to change it to a SRW monster... . ! Well it is now almost complete, Suspension will go on tomorrow or Saturday and pictures and a full review will follow.

See you in the air!!!!!

Greg

Congrats Greg,

You will love it. Even my "tame" T-REX/Bilstein set-up keeps on amazing me every time i "test" it. ;)

I feel sorry for the desert

Go get-um Boardman... ... ... ... ... ...

Greg,

A little off topic, but I was wondering if you had the answer? I've been looking at the T. Rex Weld Cheyenne 8's, and it doesn't look like our O. E. M socket wrench will have enough room to fit over the lug nuts? It looks like we'll need to buy a thin wall socket kit to keep in the truck in case of a flat?

I will talk with Kent on Saturday and reply on this later.

I do know that I wish I had them. I would buy an extra wrench in a second if I had those wheels.

XCX,

Thanks dude!

That is the price I had too. I can tell you by looking at this stuff and personally knowing how much it costs to buy these shocks, these guys are selling a $5000 system for $3000. The shocks alone would cost me close to $600 each if I bought them myself from my off road supply house. Then if you add in the custom billet aluminum shock mounts, limit straps, and all the hardware, it would cost me at least another $1900 at least. Then I could only try to put it all together and make it work. That is the hard part and Kent did it for us. I can hardly wait to install it. I have to do a lift on a Ford F350 for $$$$$$$$$$$ first. If that takes too long then I will do my truck on Monday. Darn Fords... ...

GregOo.

I like the setup. Maybe something I might consider saving up for. I figure it will do a heck of a job controlling the bigger tires.

I will take pics on Monday during the install. There will be an indepth post and my input on how it works and how easy the install is. I plan on using this to cover alot of ground in the desert where roads are almost non existant. There will be a full report on Monday night.....

Greg

Well,

I did my install today. Wasn't as bad a job as I thought it would be. It did take me 4 hours but I was told that is pretty good for my first one. I have some pics to follow and I will try to explain what I am doing in the pictrues.

These are the T-rex shock mounts. They are made from solid aluminuim stock and are way over built. I don't really care for the shine on stuff so my mounts got sandblasted and painted flat black.

Here is the finished product. Everything went in perfectly. It is a well designed kit and fit and finish are down to a T. I followed the instructions from T-rex to the letter and it turned out perfect.
