Says my truck has one but I have not seen it!

Anybody have the kit and a pic of what it looks like?

I was aware of the Kidde recall. I have two that need to be replaced on my boat.

On my 2015 MC 3500 DRW the kit is either behind the rear seat, or in the cubby hole/storage compartment. If you have a 3500 dually you should have got one.

OK, I would have said no when looking at it as an option as I already pack two 5lb ABC extinguishers and roadside flair/triangle kit.

Seems weird they did not know I had not ordered it.

I also have a 2009 Challenger, and I got this recall for the fire extinguisher mounted in that, so I don't think it's truck specific. Apparently the nozzle on the extinguisher can come off while in use and become a projectile.

We did not order the safety kit on our '17 and it is not listed on the build sheet. What's strange in my mind is that a 2017 Ram 3500 that retails for near $80K would not come with that option. Even stranger, I don't even remember it being a listed available option when we were looking last August. Then again, the only way we were able to find trucks that had power adjustable pedals was to looks at the images for each truck we were interested in online - to see the steering column with driver door open.

We have not received the recal but did on our older boat and new 5r and don't even have the Kidde fire extinguisher - it's a First Alert on the RV.

If a person has a Kidde extinguisher no matter the age I highly recommend looking on line. They are VERY good about getting replacements to people.

The T82 recall is for AFTERMARKET fire extinguishers that MAY have been installed by an upfitter. Basically every vehicle that may have gone to an upfitter after it left the factory has been included in the recall.
