Just thought I would share this info.

Last weekend while redoing some wiring, by accident I pulled the Edge Comp wire to pump out. So you know the routine, take the air horn off to get to the pump.

When I first installed the Comp I did not remove heater grid, this time I did.

What did I find!! only about one third of the gasket under the heater grid. Made a temp. gasket to get me by for a few days.

The truck now runs and sounds better. Tach bounce is gone, heater grids cycle different. Maybe this will help M. P. G. also cause I only get about 12-13 M. P. G. empty around town.

Might want to check the IAT sensor as well. Clean with carb cleaner and re-install if its black. This can help with milage allot ;) ;) ;)

The new gaskets are different (thicker different material), make sure you replace the gaskets on both sides of the grid.

Yes, I need to clean the IAT have been putting it off for quite awhile. Used to have one of those oily K&N till I found a nice oily coating on the turbo inlet.

Thanks for the info paulb, I will get the upper gasket also. Cant do much today its to darn cold, 14* for the high, it was -12* last night. Maybe next weekend it will be warmer.
