Anyone know how much wight our tailgate will hold on A 2002 3500 ??

I would like to get 2 ramps and hook them up to the tailgate and drive my HUSKEE riding lawnmowr up into the truck bed without bending the tailgate.

Shouldn't be a problem. I don't know how much weight they will take, but I've ridden a Polaris ATV into the bed many times. Machine weighs about 700 plus my 225.

tailgate

I have loaded my Ranch King Pro ( MTD )20hp 46" deck mower to bring it home from the factory. No problems and no flexing noticed while loading or unloading. It shouldn't be a problem for you.

TAILGATES

I've ridden my Suzuki ATV on the ramps over the tailgate without any problems and its a 400CC ATV. My truck is a 2002 2500 - it didn't appears to cause any problems. .

My '76 Harley has been up and down ramps laid on the edge of my tailgate many times without problems.

Probably 600-700 pounds + my lard butt on the seat.

Shouldn't be a problem, unless your Husky mower is powered by a Turbo diesel Cummins. :--)

I agree with the rest. I put a Kawasaki 650 at 600 lbs plus my 235 in the back of my 2500. No problems. Just made it ride better.

I had my safe balancing on the edge of the gate. It weighs about 1000 lbs, plus when I was on the gate with it, another 200 more.

I have had the Honda ATV up and down out of the truck with ramps all the time. Especially during hunting season. I have seen no problems yet. That is about 900lbs total.

However, a buddy has a 99 and let the tailgate slam down while opening it and had to replace a cable. Could have been bad luck or he had done it multiple times, he is hard on equipment.

Not a problem......

I've had my Craftsman 25 hp with 48" deck on it with no problems, no flexing, etc. Only problem was the 48" deck is slightly larger with all operating components and had a hard time getting it past the wheelwells!

zman :D :D
