Anyone heard about the new conoco fuel additive

Trailer Life article ATS performance up grades

how the shifting feel? 2 discs with dampened centers is a lot mass with inerta on the input shaft [i fear for synchros as nv5600's are hard to get now]

Bponci, how much power do you think you are running through it right now?

also how did the smoothness of the shifts go when shifting fast?

very glad to hear the good news.

We installed the new clutch yesterday afternoon and i cant say enough about how the clutch performs. The install was straight forward. It comes with new flywheel bolts that are shorter than the stock ones. You however cant use the flat washers due to the depth of the bolt hole (resessed). The rest of the install was great. Drivability is the best you can ask for. Smooth engaugement with no noise what so ever. Pedal pressure is very nice and very user friendly. You cant hear anything at all engauged or disengauged at idle or going down the road. The low rpm with a sudden rush of power growl that the unsprung hub had is very, very slight. I feel confident with more miles on the clutch that the springs will soften up and take all the low rpm growl out. I did go back out and launched it in 3rd to see how she performed. The launch was smooth and flawless less the tire shake and smoke. We did however find a issue with the flywheel assy. The engine has a vibration and we sourced it to the flywheel. Peter is going to send me a new complete assy with our revised ideas. The ballance issue will be resolved and the pedal engaugement height will be lowered about 1''. With a 1'' lowered engaugement pedal height it will be hard to tell that any difference between a oem clutch and a duel disk. I can honestly say that South Bend Clutch has a complete 100% Winner. A clutch that has driving manners of a single with no ill side effects and absolutly no noise issues at idle or at low rpm cruise. Come monday am Peter will be sending me the new revised assy. I will let you guys and gals know how it works.

I can honestly say this is almost 100% correct for me also! :D I just do not have the vibration that you mentioned. So far the install went OK and the clutch is very quiet. You would never know it was a dual disk set up. Oo. The clutch pedal effort is a little more over the FE that it replaced, but that was to be expected with the increased plate load of the dual disk. I am also currently still running the factory hydraulics, which will need to be upgraded so that the clutch engaugement can be fine tuned a little more

Tomorrow I am looking forward to putting it through it's paces and see how it performs. So far it feels very smooth. My hat goes off to Peter for a job well done. This is definitely a very refined product that will be user friendly and have excellent street manners while being able to still deliver the goods. :D

Its a 3250lb diaphram 12 cb clutch. The speed shifting is as well as a single. Smooth and quick.

Thats what I like to hear brad! If I head your way anytime soon I may need to go for a ride in your truck to see how it compares to a single!

And Lmills: Once again I am jealous! Big hp AND a fancy new clutch!

Just another ? for you peter, How will this clutch compare to your "Street/strip" series of dual disc's you just came out with?
