Take off wheels

Does anyone know of a source for a set of '03 wheels with or without tires? I have the plain steel wheels on my truck now and would like either the chrome or aluminum wheels. Thanks.

go to a big dealer that puts aftermarket wheels and tires on a rig once in a while. they may keep the stock wheels and sell em or might trade em at the tire shop who may sell em. they would range from 50 to 70 for the chrome and 70 to 90 for the aluminum but sometimes ya can do better

i can get hold of one more set of aluminum and one set of the chrome wheels for the 3rd gen. if anyone else wants some either for spares or to mnt winter tires on, lemme know and i will be happy to help ya get em

If your buying take off's just make sure they aren't ones that were recalled. I just brought my truck in for the recall and they had to take one back. I guess they tell from the date code, but I dont' know what dates are affected.

I found a set of take offs today, very good buy at $40. 00 ea. They were at a Commercial Tire Dealer here in Eastern OR.



Did not know about the recall so how can one tell the effected rims.



What was wrong with the rims to cause the recall.



Sure hope they were not of the recall vintage

you got a very good price. are they aluminum or the steel chromes.



the recalled wheels were the earlier aluminum ones. i cant remember the date but wheels mounted on trucks from early summer to now are ok. seems the material was too pourous and slow leaks would develop



if anyone else needs a set or partial set the place i got the last wheels from have a set of chrome and next week will have a set of aluminum wheels in. 70 bucks for alum and 50 for chrome



i will be happy to assist in shippping more wheels to anyone needing em



also they have a brand new set of 5 michelin 265/17s [takeoffs] 10ply they will let go for 70 bucks a piece
