I just about decided not to work today. I have my TDR calender hung up in my office. It has today (May 24th) marked as Memorial Day.

Robin, here's the list of special holidays various members would like mentioned in the 2011 TDR calendar.

• TDR Memorial Day (5/23/11); to remember and honor those TDR members who have gone before us; drag races, sled pulls and dyno events are the preferred activities for the weekend. (Requested by Tractorat)
  
• Flag of the Republic Weekend (6/11/11-6/13/11); to re-instill honor and respect for the standard of our republic; small flags shall be flown at the front corners of diesel trucks in accordance with regulations, and shall be addressed respectfully (stand erect, hats off, hand over heart) for a moment before entering and after exiting the vehicle. TDR "Betsie Ross" flag-making barbecues are encouraged. If the party makes 100 or more flags for patients at VA centers, their holiday will be extended an extra day. (Requested by odinjunior)

The tail end of the week before last I kept thinking that the 24th was Memorial Day too. Then I'd look at the calendar in the kitchen and say what was I thinking? (TDR calendar is downstairs above my 'puter) It was the middle of this week before I realised why I was all screwed up! :-laf
