I like the posts count. It helps me spot a newby or an oldie or a posts-too-muchie (posts per day under "profile" helps there).

I also like the "thread starter" identification. It saves the trouble of clicking on some of them.

If we can keep the junk in one place, we'll be ahead of the game.

And what I like most about the format is that fresh posts renew threads and thereby shuffle the junk to the bottom. IOW ignore it, it'll go away.

Take away nothing. Suspend really bad boys. Let the rest of us pick our pals.

What's my count now? 500 yet? huh, is it?

Dang it

I hate to be serious and I'm tired so I probably shouldn't be posting but here goes.

First, since Whitmore's name seems to be coming up in particular, if you don't like what he's posting you can add him or any other member to your "ignore" list and you don't have to read what he or any other member is saying. Personally, I have only added one person to my ignore list and that was a particular individual who was out and out beligerent to other members on the board.

Next. Honestly, I usually skip over theads I'm not interested in. Let's face it, you can usually tell by the title of the thread. If I do accidentally click on it to find out it's nothing I'm interested in I've lost probably 3 seconds that it takes to hit the "back" button to go on my way. That having been said, since I have noticed several threads basically about the same subject here "nonsense threads" I clicked on a few to check them out, not like it's hard to spot them. One of the funny things I noticed, it appeared that most of them would have died the first day except that all the posts on there were people complaining about the thread.

Finally I find there's more of a problem on the board than "nonsense threads" and I'll cut to the chase here. There seems to be this growing intollerence for views that differ from one's personal views. Be it what vendor you choose for your automatic transmission upgrade, what brand of clutch you use or who you buy your power upgrades from, you're choice of oil or whatever if you disagree with me then let's all jump on and it get's personal WAY TOO FAST. There are a bunch of folks on this board and quite frankly I don't expect everyone to share my political views, choice in turbo chargers, choice of vendor, humor etc. but I think as adults we can differ and if some folks want to kid around with "sophomoric" humor so be it, it's not the end of the world.

Now, that's enough being serious, I'm going to bed so I can wake up tomorrow and feel like laughing and kidding around again ;)

I'd be willing to bet that the outraged cries of UNFAIR CENSORING would be far more annoying.

You guys got me thinking about the post count thing, so I went and took a look at the top ten list. I found it rather interesting that I have the least posts per day out of all of them. I don't know what that's supposed to mean, just thought I'd say it :)

Maybe I made it into the top ten for all the quality posting :D

Steve St. Laurent ranks 11th. If he makes it into the top ten, he will have less posts per day than me. Way-ta-go, Steve :)
