Last night I posted about how BD censored my post on their website. I criticized the bd product and it was promptly deleted off of their site. Well this morning I find that TDR deleted the thread off of this site too!!!! What's the deal? I thought this was an unbiased site? Is BD off limits for criticism? TDR, I suggest you not delete this thread as I have every right as a member to post whatever I like. If you're just going to be lackeys for BDS than why don't you just change the name to bdlackey.com

Your post was removed by one of the newest moderators on the site - he's been a moderator for all of a couple of weeks. He removed it because he felt that it violated the guidelines of the forums and emailed you explaining why he removed it. If you were dissatisfied with that a better way to handle it would have been to email the moderator involved and if you wanted to take it further to bring it to my attention as the lead moderator or by emailing the owners of the site at rpatton@ix.netcom.com . BTW, the moderators on the site are volunteers that are users just like yourself.

You state in your post that "as I have every right as a member to post whatever I like. " That is not correct. When you signed up on the site you agreed to abide by the guidelines of the website. Right on the signup form it states:

Acknowledgement/Acceptance: By completing this Request for Account Activation,

I acknowledge that I have read and agree to comply with the

TDR Web Site’s Terms and Conditions of Participation

(click here to review this information)

If you failed to review that information at that time you can view it now by going to https://www.turbodieselregister.com/guidelines.htm . If you do not wish to abide by those guidelines or are dissatisfied with your subscription feel free to request a refund by emailing rpatton@ix.netcom.com.

hey Rfurley why dont you want my parts I smashed all the other competitors, why do you want parts that took less than 1st place

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Steve, thanks for the reply but let's be honest... you guys let far more explicit criticisms go on and on and on when it pertains to certain other companies (namely Banks). Can you explain why the flaming sometimes seems endless but my very benign post regarding BD had to be quickly taken down? Forgive me for gaining the impression that you guys seem to consider BD some sort of sacred cow. In order to preserve the integrity of your own website, I suggest you address this. Also, I've received no email from anyone at TDR explaining why my post was deleted.

I looked it up and he sent it to you via private messaging. You should have gotten a pop up window telling you about the message. The moderator staff is made up of 9 volunteers. Not everyone has the exact same consideration of what meets the guidelines and what doesn't. It's impossible for us to have the exact same brain in 9 different heads. We recently added several new moderators and they will bring their different ideas of what is over the line and what isn't as well. My point was that you would have been better off privately emailing us asking why it was removed and we could have had a private conversation regarding it and possibly have reconsidered the removal of the post rather than jumping on here and calling the TDR "lackeys".

Many think BD is in the boat as Banks. They do have some more credit as Piers use to work for them.

Go with makes you happy! :)

R Furley. I hold no allegence either, but what you posted wasnt very polite, and was and showed very poor manners. You will find that after three spankings around here and you will not be able to "troll" anymore.

Dear Christian Roth,

What happened at the October Showdown? The ATS/Banks truck ripped the BD a new one. I had been considering the BD torque converter/power upgrade but witnessing the carnage at The October Showdown has given me cause to reconsider. I'm going to go with the ATS TripleLok and the Banks Powerpack. I was told that these components were the best on the market but I had to see for myself. Watching your truck get whipped was all the proof I needed. Let's just say it took 2/10's of a second to make my decision.

Sneaking back into line after being defeated (which is against the rules) was no way to redeem yourselves. That really gave me some insight into the kind of company you must be. Learn to play fairly even if it means swallowing your pride and going home with your tail between your legs. It will build character.

A hundred things can wrong at a pull, and have nothing to do with the power, or transmission.

I don't think anyone has been hassled out here (by TDR admin)posting a products shortcomings, if they actually owned it.

I think if we looked 90% of the threads are complaining about Daimler-Chrysler.

Just taking shots at a vendor when you are sitting in the stands is generally frowned upon.

:)

I for one am a lackey and a mutt apparently... ... ... ... ... .

but let me tell ya furley anyday you wanna hook em up we are probably in the same valley so no problemo

christian is good people, there is no need to cut him, ps I heard the emails and posts were pretty rude

from what i saw brandon.....

they were... ... ... just like the post at the top of this thread.

kinda inflammatory if ya ask me... ... . seein as i ain't no lackey

And the post on the BD site wasnt deleted, cause I went and looked after I read about it here (saying it had been deleted)

Rfurly. . Its ok to admit a screw up of most any kind (I know, I have eaten crow many times) we are pretty forgiveing around here, but if you continue to :-{} somthing that obviously had many possible interpitations most of us  at you.

this is not intended as any kind of flame.

and I have no BD parts

or banks

or DTT

or ATS

Thanks for all the commentary. Yes, bd did delete the posts that followed what you see on their site currently. My post was neither rude or untrue. And by the way, I had been considering bd until I saw the behavior/performance of the company at the October Showdown. Not anymore. I referred to the TDR as a bunch of lackeys because what did they do? Promptly delete my postings (which were far from harsh). I never referred to the actual members as lackeys for anyone. My advice to bd is this; don't sponsor a chat forum if you aren't willing to let the people speak freely without fear of censorship.
