I mean that is so many ways, from the staff that keeps the site up, to the member who help everyone. :) A friend referred me to another forum in the DFW area. It is a joke. One guy had a complaint about a shop that did some work for the previous owner. He came in demanding that he get some attention immediatly. This shop works by appointment only. When the owner told him that and ask if he own the truck now, the man f-bombed the shop owner in front of other customers. :--) (Not that the ownership really mattered, he just wanted the full story. ) He was still going to honor the warranty after 2 years. The owner told him to get his A__ out of his shop. This shop has been in business for 25+ years and has an A+ rating with the BBB, not one complaint.

The unhappy guy started a thead the stated the shop did good work but blasted the owner with f-bombs and personal family attacks. It's turn into a free-for-all, 6 pages now of personal attacks and talk of burning the shop down with the owner in it. #@$%! The moderators do nothing. You find out that all the people posting are this guys buddys. The police say they really can't do anything, although it is very bad and they recognize that. The administrator won't approve the guy as a new member so he can make a 1-time post with his side along with invoices to show 4 of the 5 complaints were not even done by this shop. Now we found out that this guy is a moderator, crazy.

First of all, I can't ever remember personal attacks on the TDR. I've read some different veiw points and entertaining bantering, but it was controlled. I've also read some post and the moderators stepped in and closed them because of the subject, members not helping the original subject or illegal content. Great job guys.

I truly enjoy reading the post. I rarely comment, only if I can add something useful.

Thanks and keep up the good work. :D

Agreed. :) The other forums are mainly for "edu-tainment" but for the real deal I come here. The intimidation factor is kinda high for newbies, so I'm also mainly here to read. And the publication is awesome. Can't wait for the next issue! Must be soon - I'm in canada, everything takes longer to get here.

Thanks a lot. We work hard at it and it's posts like this that really make it worth while. A good part of it is the TDR membership as a whole - haven't met a better group of folks anywhere!

I agree also.

TDR is a very professionally run business entity with a great website, professional grade quarterly magazine, and a retail parts source that we can rely on. Of the websites I frequent or have frequented TDR does the absolute best job I have seen with maintaining decent decorum without oppressive censorship. Doing that is probably a tougher job than most of us realize.

As other newer sites have appeared over recent years I've browsed them a few times as I've heard of them but they didn't offer much appeal to me. The membership seemed to be a more youthful group, more interested in hotrodding and modifications, and many of the posts seem to be just opinion rather than actual fact based on learning and experience. TDR has some extremely knowledgeable owner/members who probably have a hundred million miles and hundreds of thousands of years of Dodge-Cummins ownership between them.

I have learned so much from fellow TDR members over the years that I have forgotten when, where, and from whom I learned it.

A number of new friends have also come from the TDR and TDR rallies I've had the pleasure of attending.

TDR is a very valuable resource for any Dodge-Cummins owner.

TDR is #1!

TDR is a National Treasure. The Administration, Webmaster, Moderators and entire staff are superb and totally awesome. Most of the member are also great with a vast collection of knowledge, wisdom and experience. We all have two things in common, Dodge and Cummins. I love this forum. Thank you all. george

The intimidation factor is kinda high for newbies, so I'm also mainly here to read.

Jump in with both feet! You're right, though; the knowledge base on here is staggering. Sometimes, the longtimers forget that newbies haven't figured out the search function yet. :-laf Personally, I like to read the same questions over again. I might be able to add something that I couldn't before, or need an answer. Also, the question may be asked in a different way. Welcome aboard.

P. S. -The political forum still scares me, but I am spending more and more time there. :-laf

TDR rules!!!
The politics get a bit polarized and crazy, but at the end of the day everyone is on
board to help out. I've never seen a better organized, and knowledgeable effort.
