TDR window decals

I had several of those made up, but gave them away except for one I kept as a spare. They are make of the tough, thick, black reflective stuff the "Dodge" lettering is made of. They cut it out with a computer controlled cutting machine. It's "Skeletonized", and on my red truck, all areas except what's black shows up red. This is the same way they make the used car dealer logos you see on trunk lids of new & used cars. I think they cost about $12. 00 each, but the place that did it is out of business. I took the plastic Cummins cab plate in, told them I wanted it to look just like that only about an inch wider and a little longer, they showed me the material I could choose from, they fed it into the machine, and in a couple of days, I had them!... . I copied and enlarged the TDR emblem and then used hi-lighter to color it. Put packing tape over them and used that wall "gum" to stick them on the inside front window corners. Got one person to ask about TDR, would like to have them in the dealer type material for the doors and inside windows. Would put them on the RV and house door glass. Make them about 4" high and I would take at least 6ea (still waiting on the A piller mount). As previously suggested; make it a side business - Rob might need to give permission to use the logo though... .
In qty they shouldnt cost more than 2$ea EH! TULSA>>>> u gonna have some for the get-to-gether on the 29th?? EH!

EH, Ben! Well, I guess I better get it in gear if I'm gonna come up with some decals for us. Although I hadn't specifically planned on doing this since it looked like, well, someone else probably would, I'll do a little checking with some graphic shops here in T-Town. Who knows, I might come up a big surprise for us all by the 29th... ?

OK, guys, I've e-mailed Rob Spading about getting permission to have some TDR logo stickers made up before our Tulsa meeting. At this point I was thinking of simply using the basic logo only. But I don't want to do anything that will step on any [legal] toes. If Rob reponds with a "go", I'll get right on it. There are dozens of good graphics shops in Tulsa which could do a quality job. (If I can afford it, that is... ) As always, I'll keep you posted.

Can't help but thinking how great it would be to be identify at a glance who and what we are. And the PSD guys would know it, too!

Rob has asked me to hold off on producing any TDR stickers for now since the TDR has a policy to not give out recopy rights to the logo. This would allow the TDR to keep production of any logo stickers from getting out of control. This makes good sense to me, and I think we will all ultimately benefit from this policy.

I think Rob has sensed the desire that so many of us have to acquire some of these logo stickers, and that the TDR will be putting production of these higher on the priority list in the very near future.

Bruce, well darn! We tried to get it done before the 29th but I guess it wasn't to be. Hopefully you're right and the powers that be will see that we, the membership, would love to have window decals to identify ourselves as proud members of TDR. I guess we'll just have to get ourselves caps and shirts from Geno's. I do, however, understand their position so we'll just wait. I think we still need to keep this thread going so it will be fresh on their minds. If things change though, let me know because the offer of help stands indefinately. I'll see everyone on the 29th.

I think you are correct. I would suggest on the rear window in the lower left corner. Like I posted to Rob earlier, we have to keep in mind that some states have laws regarding the placement of stickers and decals that obscure the drivers vision. {No we are not able to think for ourselves, big brother "helps" us again, and thankfully keeps us from doing something stupid!)
Anyway, my . 02 is lower left rear window.

Some time ago, I acquired a TDR bumper sticker. I carefully cut the TDR emblem out of it and stuck it on the lower left corner of the left side window (club cab) with my GSM and AMA stickers.

IMHO, the emblem should be the official TDR emblem. And TDR should rightfully be the ones to make them available. Even better would be if they were made with a 'backing sheet' that has the TDR URL, phone number and mailing address (and a line to write the member's name and member number). If the price were 10 or 20 cents, I'd order 100 and
give them to TurboRAM owners who aren't already displaying the TDR emblem. Oh, and I would put a couple on either side of *my* truck, too.

I'm with Doc on this one. If it is standard I think it would look pretty organized and professional. I would definitely buy a few for my truck, but it should be members only, not just guys that show up for the events and read the posts..... It will be hard to police, but I am proud being a member #ad
