Failed home remedies
54 yo (year old) lady came to see me about a mole she had for 3 years. Been putting kerosene on it - bleached it out, now she's constipated -- Malignant melanoma, died 6 months later (the melanoma had spread to her intestines).
62 yo lady came to see me after she had a heart bypass operation where they take a vein out the calf. It was infected, but she said her treatment with an onion poultice (a paste made from onion and corn meal) was helping for about 2 weeks -- the surgeon cut her leg off at the knee a week later. She ended up sick as stink.
55 yo man came to the ER because he had some chest pain. He had it bad for 4 days continuously, and had treated himself with some herbal tea that had ephedrine in it - therefore expanding his heart attack -- he later died.
To keep the neighborhood dogs from peeing and crapping (can I say that here?) on the lawn, if you put a little vinegar in one gallon water jugs and fill them with water, and set them on the corners of the lawn for a week or so, it repels the dogs, and they don't come back. Go figure. My psycho corgi goes up and licks the jugs - he's a real mess.
Not that I have any problems with home remedies - I use them myself. But if you're not getting better just go see a health care provider of some kind. And I'm not bashing home remedies. Really, I'm not. Just don't blow off something potentially serious. I like LandShark's the best!
Just remember - being dead probably feels significantly below average.
