Got a new 5er (new to me) and I'm in the process of getting the truck ready for a trip to Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, etc. in late August. I'm installing an ebrake and gauges. I have an HO, 6spd and will install a EGT and Boost gauge.
I'm wondering if it is worth the time or expense of installing a temp. gauge to monitor the rear differential temp? The expense will not be much of a holdback, but figured while I was doing the install, the three place gauge pod would be easier than a retro-fit later?
All you towing gurus, is this worth the trouble or should I just forget it? I will probably install a Mag-Tech rear cover at some time in the future. Thanks in advance for the advice I know I'll get.
