Well, it's time to ask for some help, cuz my electronic mind is:confused:

My '01 on a hot day, pulling hard, will kick out the speedo and cruise control. This only occurs when I am loaded and water temps are 200 or above. Just as soon as you quit pulling hard and the water temps go back down to 190, the speedo works and all is well again. I am sure it is not rear axle temp related because it will quit and work again too fast for the slower fluctuation of the rear axle temps. Thanks.

PS: It does not set any codes.

NIsaacs,I know you did not get this code but your situation is similar. Also don't know the fix for it.

Trans temp sender could be acting up cauising the PCM to kick it out of OD and cruise. But that wouldn't answer why you are loosing your speedo.

Oo.

If speedo sensor fails the trans speed sensor is supposed to supply the data to th PCM to keep speedo working.
