i have a 2006 5. 9 stock, puffing white smoke and rough idle. May be injectors, but would like to rule out the FCA. Is there a way to test the FCA? It has set no codes.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't provide your odometer reading so it is harder for anyone to assist you.

If the truck has 100k miles or close to it I would replace the FCA to eliminate it as the cause. It is a routine failure item and is not expensive. About $150 from a Cummins dealer and simple installation.
