Competition Whos Coming to Tulare????

Competition Sled Blueprints?

I dynoed 28 more HP at MM than at Speedworks in Feb. The last Speedworks dyno run was 389. 8. No changes at all to the truck from Speedworks in Feb to MM in May so must be the low humidity there in Vegas. My latest hp increase was due to timing set to 15. 5 and a 16cm housing for a 15HP increase on the same dyno.

I still can't get over Merricks number... . :-laf :-laf

Gene,

Be careful what you type here, you might get booted for no good reason.

Not at all offended, sorry if it came across that way. I thought you had a good question and was trying to give a informative answer.

I for one find all of Sled's post to be informative and extremely valuable to the TDR... (OK I did it can I get some Amsoil now) ;) ;)

I asked Steve about a moderatorship when they lost three in 24 hours, but all he did was laugh.

I could straighten this site out--Amsoil in every pot.

And it was a good answer, Deezul, thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out those correction factors, because every time I dyno, they take power away from me.

Its like everybody else gets to add 25, but I lose 25!

Sleddy--I thought you'd have figgered it out, but here it is:

due to correction factors being tied into the time zone you live---plus you have to many "L's" in your handle--these things add up as negatives---chris

Ok,

I have a question for Mark now after looking over the numbers for this show. How or why did the truck only make 527/1184 with Twins,Quadzilla Injectors and all the other goodies you have??. You guys have that bad of air down there that day???. Just curiuos... ... ... ... Andy

Well, Andy, you know Texas. *Everything* is huge down there, even their air molecules. Some of them are so big, they plug up the turbo workin' their way through.

Mark just needs a bigger turbo that'll pass those large molecules much easier.

:D :D :D

The dyno read low for all. Kat ONLY made 460. He consistently stays over 510. their rollers are set up for street cars at a weight of ~3500#. This puts turbodiesels at a disadvantage. . not enough weight to load the engine properly. I'll see if I can't tune it a little better for that dyno.

I have a FREE gift certificate to go back... I'll improve that number a bit;).

Actually I only made 446 Mark :D

Thats all I have I guess, never mind the fact it feels 10x better and it ran the fastest 1/8th for me so far. Least thats the sheet I'll show someone if they wanna race..... hehe. Another oddity about my sheets is they start at 2300rpm and 2200rpm... ... ... ... . I'm drivin next time.

I hope to sneak to the track Friday and playing the ¼.

I wouldn't say that. I would say Merrick's numbers are pretty much what he has, as well as a few others. Yes some were low, alot of it had to do with how the truck was setup.
