we're gonna be there

Got our reservations in, Sept. 28-30

What's that? Bill K. 's gonna be there? Hey you guys who haven't ever listened to Bill talk trannys are in for a real treat. It's great to listen to someone who truly believes in what they're doing  I'll have my DTT equiped 12v there and won't mind letting any of ya'll take it for a spin (supervised, of course) ;) if you want (hey, this is my truck we're talking about). One word of warning, though, I saw Bill at the Dallas transmission seminar awhile back and said to myself, "Hmm, I'll wait a year or so. " Went to may madness and my willpower crumbled, I just had to have that 91% converter. Could we do the question and answer thing again like in Vegas? :D:D

So Bill can't get enough of Texas, huh? We have about a million illegal aliens that feel the same way. I guess we have room for one more. ;) :D :D

The only way Bill gets to come back is if I get to give him directions. :D What do ya' think about that, Bill?

Canada invades the State of Texas:D ;)

But that's a good thing right? Good to see that you can make it Bill. This is going to be great.

See ya'll in September.

Musical entertainment?

I attended a wedding party at my brother's home last week. He hired a trio out of San Antonio. They play mostly rock-a-billy & are very good. Anyone interested in this? Just a ?-

Put down 2 more

I'll be there, but we won't be camping. I'm staying were I can watch the deer :p in the mornings between Fredericksburg and Llano. :D

There is a guy named Peter Dawson that would be great for music. This is the guy who did the song you might have heard back at election time called "Wille Nelson for President". He just put out his first CD, and plays LOTS of cover songs. He is a country music (Texas Music, Americana, whatever you want to call it). Real nice, and down to earth. Check out his website.

I am thinking that I will have to find some way to skip school, and not go to work. This would mean I would have to take LOTS of $$$!!!:(

Just made my reservation. I'm going to try to go early on Friday to do some R & R things before the rally.

what about....

Why is this event NOT listed on the calendar of the TDR? I was looking at the calendar page and noticed it was not there. Maybe this will let some other folks see it.

Rally update

Just talked to Kathy(Cathy?) at Buckhorn. I discovered that I am missing several names of those who have reservations to camp. She told me they have 27 reservations confirmed. This is great, last year we had 50 trucks show up & only had maybe 8 or 10 campers.

Finally made reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones. Hope this old high-mileage wreck will make it out there. It will have well over 100,000 on it by then. Standing at 99,400 now.

Finally got around to raising my camper up to truck level. Tows much nicer now. Got 12. 4 mpg on a trip to Dallas last weekend at @65 mph. Not bad for a 32 ft. 5th wheel and 7600 pounds of truck, not to mention my 10 pound lead foot!!

Stay well and happy 'til then

Big John

Major problem for me guys.

I wiped out the front of my truck.

Check the "other forum for my post".

Guess I'll be hitch hiking:(

Well heck, since you guys are twisting my arm, I guess I'll just have to head down that way. Are any of you guys bringing your wives? Mine is not too keen on sitting around listening to a bunch of motor-heads, but then I'm not likely to be able to go camping without her. Maybe we can get the women together for some cross-stitching:) or something, if they come. If I tell her all the diesel information we can learn together, she will probably remember about some other plans she had for that weekend...

Yep, I suspect that a number of wives and/or significant others will be there - my wife (Sandy) will. At our last meeting in Kerrville, a bunch of them went shopping in Fredricksburg.
