Is there anything u can do for that stock auto on the 94 or 95's?

or is it too costly.

I am looking on going from my 24v to a 12 for cost savings & I only really need the truck to tow nothing else.

The trans can be built to withstand a lot of high HP usage but can be expensive to do. The more power you have and the harder you use the power will have a lot to do with cost

The only thing that I have read about is real expensive up grades like valve bodies, torque converters, etc. I really do not know too much about the trans. upgrades. I talked to a guy that had a beefed up transmission built by BD performance that cost him about 4K, he seemed to like it but said that it took many weeks to fine tune it. I am just looking around at wrecking yards and such for a totaled out 5 speed CTD to do a complete swap of transmissions.

I would most definitely go with a bolt action transmission... a friend has a 95 auto that looks just like that truck for sale, but its been beat to heck, and neglected. Neglected so bad, I will not even try to save it! Pretty bad, eh?? He wants me to post an ad on here to try to sell it, but it looks bad, and would be too much work to put into... Pretty bad, but I would stick with the manny transmission!!! Just be ready to fix 5th gears!!

South bound I-35 about 3:20. I don't remember his name, but met him at a get together a few months back. Red, ext. cab, long bed, 4x4, 12 V. Even when I was a couple hundred feet back, I thought it was that truck. It's nice looking.

Seen a couple of TDR rigs this past week. One was a black dually with dual ram heads on the back glass. The thing that caught my eye was the what looked like a 6" chrome tip (HUGE) saw it in between Dublin and Proctor. Second was a first generation dually with the TDR badge on the grill. Saw this one in Benbrook

Silver QC 4X4 on I-40 in Amarillo about 10:30 am. I passed you and nodded, I did not see your TDR badge until you passed me. I was in a hurry to get to a dotors appt. Hope that I did not seem rude. I like the feet on your truck.

I was in the Intense Blue QC w/ white topper.

We were in town for a short visit.

Hope to see you out on the road again.

Later,

Jeff

I will double post this but I was figuring that Texas folk don't read the NY spottings.

About half an hour ago on interstate 90 in Buffalo, NY I passed a truck with texas plates.

Second Gen. 24v 3500 QC 2wd white with a Husky diamond plate tool box, tinted front windows. Pulling a bumper bull car hauler with an old body style silver Suburban.

Any of you Texans up here enjoying our wonderful weather :D

You would have thought you'd recognize a fellow moderator ;) Wish I'd known it was a fellow TDR member before hand, I'd treated you to a little smoke ;)

To finish the conversation..... I've got a 4" straight pipe with a 5" tip (in case you didn't hear it :D ). I saw a small mileage gain... hard to confirm though since my foot is always in it. The biggest benefits were lower EGTs and a couple of more pounds of boost.

I would have stayed and talked longer, but the light turned green and I was running late coming from the airport.

Thursday, 3/27, I saw a quad cab short bed, dark blue I think, on 174 in Burleson fish tailing. I just saw a black cloud up ahead of me and there was this truck coming out of it sideways. I don't know if he was a member or not, didn't see any badges. It was pretty sweet!

Spotted this morning (4-15) in Wylie at the intersection of FM544 and FM1378 in front of Wylie High Screwl. 03 Quad Cab Dually, 2wd, Bright Red, with 19. 5" APP wheels. Don't know it belonged to a member or not but I would like to look at it up close. Looks alot like what I want.
