Ohh yes. The Democratic Left Wing road to economic prosperity... Raise taxes and give more money to the people who do NOTHING (welfare and politicians included). Next thing you know, we will all be living in giant apartment blocks and standing in line for TP and soap. Give me a break.

Bush does not have control of the economy, Greenspan does. BTW, Greenspan was Reagan's, Bush Sr's and bubba clinton's Chairman of the Fed also. :p :p

Greenspan and the Economy

Yes, Greenspan was Fed chairman under a bunch of presidents - and the economy has gone up and down under him. Whatever else you can say about President Clinton, the US had the longest unbroken economic boom in its history while he was president. If you're going to blame him for the downturn that's hit now, you've got to give him credit for the upturn that hit after he took office. None of this "Well, George41 was making it better, so Slick Willie didn't do anything. "

If all these things are true about Clinton, why is he not in jail?

... and what about OJ?

Dear Abby:

My husband is a lying cheat. _He tells me he loves me, but he has

cheated our entire marriage. _He is a good provider and has any

friends and supporters. _They know he is a lying cheat, but they just avoid the issue. _He is a hard worker but many of his coworkers are leery of him. _Every time he gets caught, he first denies it all, then he admits that he was wrong and begs me to forgive him. _This has been going on for so long, everyone in town knows he is a cheat.

I don't know what to do.

Dear Frustrated:

Why don't you move to New York and run for the Senate?

BTW - I live in Arkansas. I know people that know BC. I was bumped off our Corporate Jet back in 1988 so they could fly BC back to Little Rock. I am good friends with one of his State Trooper body guards. I am good friends with one of his campaign support staff. $$ and the democrat political machine got him off - as well as Monica. He'd still be pleading innocent if it wasn't for that dress!

The economy was falling a little bit before Clinton left office. I agree. But, not to the extent it is now. I know 9/11 had something to do with it to. But our administration has not a clue about how to turn it around, tax cut, economic stimulus? This is just a short term name for "Make the people happy" for a short time!

Re first paragraph: And you defend Clinton?

Re second paragraph: The souring of the economy can be plotted on the calender to coincide with Willie the Lecher's decision to extort money from Microsoft. This is turn caused the collapse of the dot com house of cards.

As for 9-11 my second job was going full steam prior to it but took quite a hit afterward.

No civilization has ever taxed itself into propriety. Every dollar the govt receives will be spent. "Oh we have all this money, we need $1500 ashtrays around the Texas Capitol. " On and on like a bunch of drunks.

How

How do you explain the surplus after Clintons terms? You know the one Bush gave away, the one that gave me a whole bigger tax bracket (big bucks there) and just stimulated the heck out of the economy!

And JJ how does the sexual affair of a president effect economics, foreign affairs, and other items associated with the Presidents responsibility's? I can answer that, it does not. The only effect it had was for the republicans to have a hay day over! The rest of the world was laughing at how they (the republicans and the so-called moral majority) were making such a big deal over it. If we were to judge every President on his or her morals we would have to elect children under 5 ! So what did the investigation accomplish? Besides spending money for investigations and lawyers! I can answer that to, it made BOTH party's look childish, and made a bunch of lawyers rich, we paid for it, and we continue to pay for it, by the splitting of the nation!

I really didn't care for Clinton as a president, but to hear the same ole story over and over gets real old. Why don't you guys get another cause? Let him go into the world of, who?:D

Bush 41 did have some decent economic groth programs ,but nothing spectacular. They were mostly ruinated by the democratic congress raisng taxes.

The "Clinton" boom, was mostly from the internet. It was also a paper house, as we soon saw.

Then he started palying games, setting up the Enron, Global Crossing, etc, disasters,(Clintons policys made those possible, thanks Billy boy. ) and going after Bill Gates.

He is lucky Bill Gates just didn't shut the doors and walk away. Talk about disaster.

Clinton also was very good at fudging economic reports, and the media never questioned them.

We were in Utopia, according to the media, and then suddenly, while they were still counting votes in Fla, the economy just crashed. Right.

Clinton

I gotta go with CF on this one - what do the sexual escapades of a President have to do with anything? They certainly didn't hurt JFK, or FDR, or Eisenhower. The right wing in this country needs to find another scapegoat than Bill Clinton. He's been out of office over two years, and still the piling on goes on. I guess having control of both houses of Congress leaves no scapegoats there?

You're basically saying that Bush41 had things fixed, but then Clinton came along and ruined the economy - took him 8 years to do it but he did it JUST IN TIME to make Bush43 look bad. All those surpluses? Why, the Republican Congress was able to get that done despite the President - once we got rid of the Democrats in Congress who forced Bush41 to raise taxes - even though he was fixing the economy that Rea... . nope, Carter ruined 8 years earlier - eventually it gets silly.

I will let off Clinton when he is in jail for his crimes against his country and his fellow man! And there were crimes, and it had nothing to do with sex.

I explained my stance above on Bush 41. Try not to twist it. he never impressed me.

Interesting note though.

Bush 41 chose a NOBODY for VP. He was hammered for having a VP that was less than up to par in intelligence and power.

Bush 43 chose an intelligent and wise man of the times for VP. He was hammered for choosing a man who was possibly more intelligent and powerful than he was!

Bush 41 did what the UN told him to do. He was hammered for it.

Bush 43 told the UN to stick it, he was hammered for it.

Is there a pattern here?

If there were crimes, why didn't $42 million of our tax dollars and a bunch of men absolutely dedicated to hating Bill Clinton find him guilty? OJ Simpson only had to face off against the LA Prosecutors - Bill Clinton had the US Senate, US House, Ken Starr's office, etc. etc. etc. - yet they found no jailable offense. As to his getting a hummer in the White House - it was morally reprehensible and ethically wrong - but you'd have to try really hard to find a grand jury in any court in the land who'd vote to indict somebody for that. His crime of adultery was between him and his family - kinda like Newt Gingrich's, or Helen Chenoweth's, or that guy who was Speaker of the House for a few days.

It's been two years - you can only blame somebody for the bad economy (or the state of the armed forces, or head lice in schools) for just so long before it becomes somebody elses responsibility. The House and Senate and White House are in Republican hands, have been for over two years - where's the economic recovery? Where's the government surpluses?

The truth about Whitewater and the financial dealings are what should have convicted BC and HC.

$$ and politics prevented justice from being served as it will continue to prevent justice from being served for many more politicians - both Democrats and Republicans.

The surplus and economic recovery are in YOUR hands. Go out and spend some money on some products! Buy an airplane ticket or two! Get everyone to vote for Democrats so they can raise taxes and distribute more $ to themselves. They will also take our guns away and melt them down for scrap to build skyscrapers.

I'm doing my part - bought a 2001 and a 2002 CTD. Bought a 2003 5th wheel trailer. Paid sales tax plus I'm sure some profit margins for the manufacturers. I just can't do it all by myself. I just traveled to/from Bristol, TN adding a couple thousand $ to that economy. I just traveled to/from Texas Motor Speedway adding a thousand or so $ to that economy. I bought diesel along the way in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Oklahoma City.

Spread your money around. Someone else needs it.

The economy will pick up as oil prices drop. The American economy works in direct proportion to the price of oil.

So you're saying that a $42 million investigation (funded by our taxes), plus the resources of a lot of very rich Republicans with hatred on their minds, plus the investigators of some very rich media outlets got stifled by Bill and Hillary Clinton and their vast riches and power. Wow, the Left Wing Conspiracy to Take Over the World musta loaned'm some money!

The Ultimate Truth

Well, I'm a meat-eating moderate smart-ass. And I already hung my head in shame. Bill Clinton shouldn't have been fooling around with Monica Lewinsky, intercourse or not. He should've been more careful about giving the perception that his wife was dictating government policy when he put out his health care plan. And he should've admitted what was going on a lot sooner - his dissembling embarrassed the country a lot more than his getting a hummer.

That said - he didn't do anything that would get him indicted by a grand jury in Orange County CA (or any other place). And none of the many investigations into Whitewater and his personal life ever found anything that would put him in jail.

If you've got information on The Ultimate Truth, why didn't you give it to Ken Starr's office? They could've used it to justify their budget and secure a conviction.

VP's

Sled Puller - I don't hammer on Bush43 for choosing Cheney - Dick Cheney is a homeboy (Casper Wyoming) who went to high school with my dad. I think picking Dick Cheney for VP was the best thing W has ever done. Dan Quayle was a joke from the beginning.

As to the UN - I think we're going to reap what we've sown in the rest of the world by telling the UN to take a flying leap. Regardless of what the UN means to anybody, the rest of the world doesn't seem to care for what we're doing. It's gotta mean something!

I don't know anything about the UN telling Bush41 to stop before getting to Baghdad - that wasn't a UN operation, it was a carefully organized coalition of countries working under US control. Please, tell me what the UN did to stop the coalition operations before Saddam was captured or killed? Not being a smart ass here, I just don't know.

And I didn't mean to twist your words - it's just a continued litany that you were the last one to participate in.

At last count, there were 43 countries that signed on supporting the U. S. That's THE biggest coalition ever assembled. You just don't hear about it because of the volume that the French, German and communist countries cry foul.

"I don't know anything about the UN telling Bush41 to stop before getting to Baghdad - that wasn't a UN operation, it was a carefully organized coalition of countries working under US control. That was a UN mission. That mission was approved by the UN and had the second largest coalition put together. The UN did tell Bush 41 to stop because the resolution only called for removing Saddam and his army out of Kuwait. If he would have gone into Iraq, the media would have had him for breakfast. The left would be crying worse than they are now.

BTW, our ground forces never went into Iraq in 1991. The liberated Kuwait and that's it. We sure bombed the hell out of Iraq though.

Where are the troops from those 43 countries? Last I heard, there were Americans, Brits, and Aussies (who just love a good fight) on the ground. The Gulf War had Arabs from all over the place, and troops from those other coalition countries. If they don't have troops to send, where's the support in other ways? 'Signed on' is meaningless in a war.

The dot.com bubble created the last economic boom and when it burst created what we have now. I don't really think it mattered who was in the white house at the time. Was more of being in the right place at the right time. If Gore had won do you really think we would be any better off right now. Increased envirnmental regulations never help economic growth. Less government is what is needed for growth.

Clinton's illegal activity is all about sex, just like this Iraq war is all about oil. Clinton, was, is, a scumbag, lying, cheating, stealing, killing, ex-president.

I'll be glad when Hillary gets elected so all these left wing liberals will be happy. Of course, the first thing she will do is add about $2/gal. tax on gasoline and ban diesel all out. But it will get these tax loving, left wing liberals a president they can be proud of.

There will be no more war and the United Nations will spread peace and harmony throughout the world.

She can then disban the Supreme Court and let the ACLU take over all judgement and interpretations of the Constitution. The same ACLU that protested against Oklahoma's capital punsihment of a felon that robbed and then locked the man and woman in a trunk of a car and burned them to death while they were still alive. After the SOB was allowed to live 15 years on death row. He shouldn't have been allowed to live 15 minutes after being convicted - IMO.

One Camerroonian facing forward, is worth more than 100,000 French running from their German Komrades!

What is signing on worth?

Thank you for pointing that out.

It is worth one hell of alot more than NOT signing on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet the Liberals give France all kinds of credit for not signing on.

Lets get this straight.

43 countrys say yes, 3 say no.

Those threes opinions are worth more becuase... ... ... ... why??
