The economy was falling a little bit before Clinton left office. I agree. But, not to the extent it is now. I know 9/11 had something to do with it to. But our administration has not a clue about how to turn it around, tax cut, economic stimulus? This is just a short term name for "Make the people happy" for a short time!

It's the Liberal Democrats and some moderate Republicans who have blocked any of the new tax cut proposals. Bush has been trying to pass more tax cuts. If you cut the tax rate, the tax revenue ( as shown in the '80's), WILL go up AS LONG AS the SPENDING also DOES NOT GO UP.

Bushes energy plan kicked butt, even our Union backed it for cripes sake.

Daschle killed it.

Never even brought it up for a vote.

Why?

Because it would have been good for the country.

Good for the country, bad for Daschle.

I for one, am glad Clinton did the things he did. It was a crappy thing for a President to do(you select the incident). But, all the incidents have exposed the Democratic party for what they really are. As a whole, all of Clintons antics have united the country and made it clear where the Democratic party is headed. The Republican party has never been stronger. Morals are becoming more important in politics, and the public is less tollerent of the snakes that are now in politics. Now we see the last desperate efforts of a dying political party. Attack, Lie. Attack, lie. Attack, lie.

Deny, deny, deny. Lie Lie Lie.

Excellent point Dalton.

Look at voter turn out last time.

College students, homeless, illegal aliens, why even the dead showed up in record numbers to vote!!! Some even voted more than once, they were so worked up!

Now thats showing the American Spirit!

Way to go Democrats!!!:D

Sdalton - The Democrats currently hold the record for voter fraud. Look at Kansas City and St. Louis when they voted for the dead man. Daly inn Chicago. Let's not even mention Clinton's machine in Little Rock and Pine bluff

It's going to take years to overcome that record by Independents or Republicans!!

Money

Both party's are pretty much a joke to me. They both have there skeletons and their scandals. The Republican party is strong right now, reason being is MONEY, it has nothing to do with honesty or morals. It has to do with how much the President raised on his last fund raising tour paid for by ALL of America. It set new records, even more than Clintons. This is a practice that should be banned for all party's.

The reason for the abundance of rights on this site is because of ownership of the best pickup. We live in rural America, we tend to be a touch out of touch with the rest of the world. We tend to have simple values, and common sense. I have always been pro-labor, and such has led me to the left and then to the middle of the road. I do not like the extreme left or the extreme right, I think their ideas are dangerous for this country. I think our government should be questioned, along with anyone who follows the extreme right or left. That being said, a balance of both sides will reflect the best of America. The moderate self thinking person who works hard and believes that this world is based on tolerance and common sense.

Oh by the way the President has just been given another 79 billion dollars for this war. I think spending just went up! That and the latest tax cuts for the rich, should pretty much put this nation in the hole for a long time! Good thing the Dems cut the tax cut in half.

From the time Clinton took office, the republican party started investigating. Eight years of investigation! I wonder how long Bush could stand up to this kind of gun! The answer is he couldn't.

So that being said, which party is the most vindictive and cannot stand to lose? You tell me? Can you say right? After listening to all the whining from the Republicans for eight years, it turned me against the party. I have always voted for the best man and not the party.

The count of country's backing the war is just a little off. Mexico, and Canada are also against it along with five major country's and several smaller. Last count was 37 giving letters of support to the US. And this was only letters. Most are country's that owe us money. There are actually some German forces in the war right now. They have a top rated Chemical detection unit in Iraq, not much, but still a help.

:D

Bush's '03 deficit is projected to be the largest in history by over two times and he still wants to cut taxes, would you trust this clown with your credit card?

Let me see, why should the Germans be involved in the chemical and biological detection?? I will not call anyone here STUPID, because they might complain to TDR ADMIN. SO I wont. I will say it politely(as per your request ROBIN). THE GERMANS DESIGNED, BUILT, AND SOLD IRAQ THE MOBILE CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL UNITS THAT WERE USED TO MAKE THE STUFF THE GERMANS ARE TRYING TO DETECT. That might have been loud, but not personal or rude (as per your request Robin).

Who projected that, Tom Dashole?? Or was it the non-partisan Kerry??

If it takes a trillion to kill terrorists, or wanne be terrorists, spend the cash.

And yes, keep cutting taxes, and gosh, maybe cut some pork off that budget.

Cutting taxes is the quickest way to help the country. There is plenty of money, it just needs spent properly.

GO BUSH. :D

My .02

If Clinton would just SHUT UP and get his lying ass off the TV then maybe we could forget about this chump. But he won't SHUT UP! The clown can't resist bad mouthing the current admin. So he's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

Which would you rather have as a neighbor, Bush or Clinton? Which one would you trust more around your 16 y/o daughter?

There is so much waste, fraud and corruption in the Federal bureaucracy. Don't tell me that we can't spend less on the Federal government. Why should we send those shysters any more of our hard earned money? If the budget deficit REALLY was a concern to the DEMS, they'd find a way to spend LESS money and cut down the size of the Federal bureaucracy. Don't tell me it can't be done.

JFK boosted the economy with tax cuts and so did Reagan. It worked then, it will work now.

We're currently showing the haters of the world that we've got a big stick and importantly, that we're willing to use it. That's money well spent.

How much did 9/11 cost us?

Tim

Quite frankly, if we cut all the welfare programs, I'd be a happy camper. I went 6 months without work, guess what, I survived. My credit is shot, and I've sold off just about everything I've owned over the last 5 years, but I didn't draw one dime of unemployment. I worked my way through college, supporting a wife and two kids during that timeframe as well. There are no excuses for those people that are on welfare, except they are too god damned lazy to get a job.

Morph.

I would like to make what I consider a case in point against the DOPE from HOPE! Why would the Red Chinese Army give a president 2 Million dollars in campaign money if the guy was looking out for the best interest of this country?! Who gives a damn about that pricks sex life, the whole impeachment was about purgury.

Now, as for Bush 43. I wonder if anyone on here knows anything about that secret organization that he and his dad were apart of(Skull & Bones)? I think that Bush is genuine but the whole One World Goverment that his dad was all about scares the POO out of me.

Lastly, Isn't Iraq where the ancient city of Babylon was located? If I'm correct about that, then doesn't that tie in with the Biblical book of Revelation and all of it's references to the great city of Babylon. Maybe after we free Iraq they will rebuilt the city and the end of the world will be soon at hand. Maybe that is silly but some guy's at work were talking about it and it got my attention.

BTW, Jumbo Jet you should have told Billy Boy to get bent when he took your plane ride away from you back in 1988. You might have ended up dead like all the rest of the people that angered the emperor though. :eek

Theres or ours?

If the Germans were the only ones selling WMD to the Iraqi I would be real surprised, Russia, France, China and others had their hands in it. We sold our share of weapons to them also, can you say Rums field in 82? I have said this in the past and continue to say this. Why does this upset some so?

I have never seen a boost in the economy by reducing taxes. I have seen the rich get richer by Regan's cuts/trickle down (something like urinating on the poor). And the tax cuts done by Kennedy was hardly successful. The bureaucracy created by this administration makes anything created by the Dems small potatoes. It is too late to pull the welfare programs, unless you want them on your doorstep, breaking down your door.

I think the bill for 9/11 was around 6 billion. So we spend 12 times that much to catch, how many Al Queda terrorists so far? I have said it and the President even said it (although he has not a clue how to react) this is a different enemy and a different time. You cannot battle a unseen enemy with conventional weapons and wars.

:D

"Mr. President, what are you doing about the economy?"

"Mr. President, what's the war going to cost?"

"Mr. President, which income groups are going to get the highest percentages of your tax cut?"

"Mr. President, why are those opposed to this war unpatriotic?"

Now we see the last desperate efforts of a dying political party. Attack, Lie. Attack, lie. Attack, lie.

Deny, deny, deny. Lie Lie Lie.
