I am ready now to say thank you... . I am Rebecca, Greg Boardman's wife. I have been wanting to get on this site and thank you all for a long time, I now feel like I am able. The months following Gregs passing were the hardest times for me but I wanted you all to know that I did get on this site and read your posts just about daily. The comments, stories and praises were so comforting... I am still holding on to them. I never thought i would have been thrown violently into a life changing event such as this... and the emotions and trauma that i felt when i lost Greg are still indescribable. He was not just my husband but my security, my friend. He, as most of you know, was a bigger than life person, colorful and emotional. He lived life every day to the fullest and with passion... so when that energy was taken from me so fast it was painful to even think. So to get up in the morning and read what you all had to say put smiles back in my heart... . And to the friends that were there for me every day... saying Thank You to you will never be enough... You are truly my heros!

The off road community came together when they heard about Greg. Greg was so very passionate about this site, off-roading, and Desert Racing Concepts. He loved helping people, talking with every customer or friend he just met, learning about people or new products, and he was so proud of what he had accomplished so far. I think the hardest thing for me now is the sadness I feel when I think of what DRC could have been with Greg behind the wheel... . with just a little more time... He was so excited about the business growing, new products and racing... I am so glad that he did get to accomplish what he did in such a short period of time. He was proud of DRC, and he loved networking with everyone... . Even if you disagreed with him, he still was honorable and enjoyed the banter. Maybe one day, when the smoke has settled and the new owners of Desert Racing Concepts find some honor and integrity they too will do the name some justice... .

I could go on and on about Greg... . I just wanted you all to know that what you did for Greg... for me... was noticed, and it helped me through a horrible place... . I can not thank you all enough... . So today, be a little more patient with the ones you love, hold them a little bit tighter, and don't be afraid to say I love you... . Life is to sacred to not live it... Or to be "Punk Rock" as Greg would say... . or was it "Go big or go home!" ??:)

Thank you again for all of your support!

We are behind you 100% Rebecca. We all miss Greg too and can not imagine how the loss was taken. :( We were all just fortunate enough to have been able to have had our lives impacted by a man that was larger than life itself..... Greg Boardman :D

Greg lives on in many of our hearts :)

Gone but not forgotten from the oldtimers here.

I remember Greg as the tattoo guru

I miss the arguments, the laughs, jokes and stories he had with me and others in the group, looking through my old photos I found one that I took when Greg and Rebecca were setting up shop at one of the events, the good old days. God Bless.

Greg.

I attended a SCRR dyno event and still remember Greg's joyous laugh as he laid about a block of rubber in his 2nd Gen. w/DTT. The highway patrol parked nearby after that. Gave them something to do that day. ;) Even with being busy and all,he took time to answer a novice CTD owner's questions.

Greg and I were working on the "still unsolved" issue of being able to carry heavy (like camper) and have a good offroad truck when empty. He really tried to "own" my problem and poured himself into it. He was the voice of KORE when Kroekers got too busy and that blessed me that he made himself available. I what I appreciated most was his values... respect for others... Golden Rule. He was pretty sharp too! I was devastated when he died and I appreciate Rebecca's willingness to share her heart here so we could do the same. May the Lord bless and keep you and yours, Rebecca.

Rebecca, I've been out of the loop for a while & just ran into this sad news while researching upgrades for my "Chase" system. I bought it a couple of years ago through Greg & found him most helpful especially with phone advice on install after the sale. My deepest sympathies.
