Thank you, Vets , Active Military , Inactive Military , and anyone whom helps support the Military. If not for you making the sacrifices that you do, none of us would be writing this today... ... ... ... . Thanks

Thank you to all veterans in the USA!!

My wife and I had a nice dinner today at Chili's, which was free to veterans.

Yes. My wife and I also had a free dinner at Applebee's (free for me. I paid for my wife's dinner). There are a few restaurants around that do that on Vet's day. Applebee's is always busy, so they dont need to do this for the business. But they really support vets. I always over tip when I go into these restaurants.

BIG, ID card or a copy of your DD214 will work. I always carry my ID card and a reduced copy of my DD214 in my wallet. Sometimes Home Depot and always Lowe's will give veterans a 10% discount on anything you buy.

I knew I saved this stuff for a reason. I still have a few pairs of cammies that I've been "saving for the revolution" (or if I ever decide to go bow hunting)

Its funny. They don't ask for ID at Applebee's. You just tell them that you're a vet, and they give you the vet's menu (they just do this on vet's day) On the other hand, Dick's Drivein which is a local and iconic hamburger chain in Seattle, will ask you for id. (I really dont think they would turn you down if you dont have any, but they ask). The guy (at Dick's) asked me for ID, so I pulled out my dog tags and slapped them down on the counter. (I knew they would ask for ID). But they usually will take just about anything. A picture of you in uniform, dd214, dog tags, old id card (I still have my green id card. They forgot to take it away from me when I got out)

I dont think they are too worried about someone lying about it. But if there is a chance you might have to show some kind of ID, I think a lot of fakers will just not try to take advantage of the situation.

Well, next year, if the restaurants in your area will give you a free meal. Show them that picture. If they dont think its you, just drop your pants and show them.

We dont have any chain food stores in our little town im glad that some give the vets a meal or anything for that matter for free. I think that the public is starting to see that the military is not all that bad.
