thanks, DC & Tree Sap removal
Got it David,
I just PM ed you, and will note usage & washing instructions. I can't wait to try them in the removal phase of using the Perma Shield Finish Guard. I'll let you know !
BPINE, as to tree sap removal, I've found the Perma Shield Finish Guard **to be an excellent sap remover, in most cases. It works best on the oily type saps, like Pine pitch, etc, which is great because most finish products won't touch that stuff, then you get frustrated & use a strong solvent which may be inadvisable for other reasons.
The only case where it isn't so hot to use it for tree sap removal is when it's a more water soluble type sap, which you can tell that by looking closely at it, if the sap is clear, and has little color, that's water-soluble. (example : Cottonwood trees )
In that case, plain old hot water & a sponge will do the trick for this type of sap, especially if the finish has not had protection. (For me, it's a cottonwood grove I park in !)
If the vehicle has had good protection, as mine does, just a regular washing will remove the water soluble saps virtually every time.
Happy cleaning to all !
David B
