And I lack the ability!!!

I was coming home from work The roads are wet, and it is just misting. I get passed by this Mexican bass boat of a chevy 1500. . and it's white. Tinted windows and a sticker of Calvin Hobbs ******* on a Dodge and flipping me off. He gets just in front of me in the left lane and stays there. I slow down he slows down. I speed up a little, he does the same, then he sticks me in traffic behind a blue hair, and keeps us all at 10 under the speed limit. The blue hair exits the highway, and there is my chance. Open road for a couple of miles. Plenty of power to jump ahead of him (and I did) BUT NO SMOKE!! :{ :{ :{

I am now accepting donations to aid in making sure that there are no stock CTD's on the road. Please send $$ or modified injectors to the Church of SSD (Sticks Smokin' Diesels). Your contribution of just $35. 60 (a dime a day) from each member will install modified injectors in over 1,060 stock CTDs.

Please do your part to make sure that there are no CTD's out there that can't smoke when they need to.

This is meant for entertainment purposes only. SSD does not exist and this is not an actual solicitation for money or parts.

I should have the DD2s in this weekend.

Hohn,

If you start bragging about how sweet those DD2's are, I'm afraid I'm gonna pull out the checkbook and do something stupid. I've been able to restrain myself up till now..... ;)

By the way, now that ambient temps are up in the 80's and 90's, the old EZ on setting 3 is making pretty good off-boost smoke even with the stock injectors! :D

Yes, Rusty, I have been noticing a bit more smoke lately. Of course, maybe it's my driving, given the prevalence of poor drivers here and crappy little ricers.

I will move my jumper when i get the injectors in. Should keep me about the same, smoke-wise. I am going to go all the way to position 1 on the EZ. I figure that the clutch will see about as much stress with the jumper moved to 1 w/ the injectors and it did with the near-instant fueling of the jumper on 3.

I propose another absolute truth. Just as SURELY as good flavor is directly proportional to FAT CONTENT, I believe that the CTD has a similar rule. Fun-to-drive is directly proportional to smoke potential.

Notice, I say potential. Uncontrolled smoking is miserable for all parties involved.

I will probably call the bombing quits after this. You're up pretty hard against the point of diminishing returns once you go beyond ez and 2s. (then you'll need intake, exhaust, clutch, turbo, etc. I can run all this stock at 350rwhp)

Agreed. Smoke on demand is (IMHO) OK. Continuous smoke, at least here in Texas, can get you turned in to the state air quality police!

Right!!!!! Just like the alcoholic can say, "Well, I can have just one drink!" ;) :D

I'm OK on the intake & exhaust, but the main reason I've been holding off on the DD2's is that I know a 911 call to South Bend Clutch will follow almost immediately!

ROFLMAO!!! :D :D This is good sticks! I am getting tempted to upgrade from 275's anyone in the market for 275's??

The additionally frustrating part is with the mist, and the wet roads, his nice white truck would have had some really interesting black smudges from the soot.

I am sure I will, Robin. I would like them more IF THEY WOULD GET HERE ALREADY!!!

That would make it a Memorial Day to remember!!

DD II's and an EZ are a sweet combination and will throw some serious smoke, but your stock clutch probably won't hold it. Been there done that.

Mike, Honn,

Are you guys taunting me? I feel like the poor little street urchin stuck to the front window of a toy store at Christmas.

Exhaust smoke, tire smoke, *AND* clutch smoke. Life doesn't get any better! :D It's kind of like that neopolitan (sp?) ice cream.
