any updates on the revo for the Jr. ?

YES!!!

Gang,

to begin with, the Jr is a product thought and build for the stock trucks. It has to be reasonable safe to use even without gauges. Features like increased rail pressure or more aggressive torque managements are a no no for STOCK trucks!

Furthermore, the Jr's hardware was not designed with the hugh memory space it takes to do the full blown S-06 style Revo software.

With that said... .

The "Revo" style version for the Jr is in the final testing stages. The Jr Revo software is meant for the lowest smoke and best possible mileage. Thus we've worked on : two different timings , two different TQ options ( one less aggressive than today) , wastegate On or off. We should be able to release the Jr revo within a week maybe ten days... .

Also in the final stages ( well almost. . ) the PoD for the Jr which should follow shortly after the Revo has been released.

I hope this answeres some of your questions and wishes.

Why is increased Rail Pressure a no-no for stock trucks? Do you mean level 3 and 4 (moderate and wild)? or do you mean that level 2 (mild) also cannot be used on a stock truck.

Hey Bob, whats the deal with the Smarty POD [04. 5]? Release date? My brother wants one bad. He loves the Smarty, but misses the on fly from the T-dog.

Reading between the lines, does this mean the Smarty Jr programs are not going to be available for the Smarty Sr?

For those of us with stock trucks who want low smoke, mpg programs, should we switch from the Sr to the Jr?

Vista issues

Guys,

Anyone have any success downloading the program in Windows Vista?

I am getting an error message that says it is not a valid Win32 application. Of course my version of Windows Vista is 64 bit, will the software still work?

I am in need of some tutoring here on how to get this downloaded.

TIA

Dave

yep, although I'm thinking my version is 32 bit.

I'm having CRS at the moment and can't remember what it took to make it play with smarty. The download directions at the Smarty site were some help IIRC. Download the zip7 tool, download the zipped file, open the zip tool, and then open the zipped file, then there was something funky with how you tell it to connect to Smarty. I think I had to go to the web for a zip7 tool other than the one suggested on the Smarty site. Maybe I made it more difficult than it needed to be.

OK ... that sounds greek to me. Is there an easy way to do this?

Jeff,

I have everything downloaded to a file on my desktop, now I just have to see if it will push it to the Smarty.

Thanks

Dave

Looks like it was a success! The Smarty very briefly showed the new version of the software installed so I should be good to go to load it into the truck.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

Towing

What have you guys discovered are the best settings for towing with the new software? Previously I had it set on #3 as anything higher than that and I would get the turbo barking everytime I accelerated and let off the go pedal. #3 was the only setting I could use towing or otherwise!

I see you have a little more work in your trany than I do, so you are probably gonna have to play with settings to see what you like.

Tq- I tend to like 4, 6 for towing. Lower numbers seem softer, higher seem harsher.

Timing- I use 4, 0 for towing. Trying for max mpg.

duration- I have been using 0. I haven't figured this one out so I use default.

catcher #5, I don't know if this matters so much.

Hey Bob, do you have a clear definition of what exactly the "timing improvements" mean for the latest update to the S06 Smarty? I want to install the update, but haven't yet because I don't know what the update will do. Thanks, and Happy Anniversary!
