Fastest Diesel Truck Intake Ramifold Cutter in the UNIVERSE! :--)

Good work, Speed demon!

Hey there Greg-

That looks interesting- weight savings yes but I wouldnt want to do this to comprimise street drivability... .

Good though for all out race vehicle- no cooler at all? or you found something lighter?

Head pics?

Port volume #'s?

Greg-
Dead cold *cracked* motor? Still? What about filling the block with 'Hard-Blok' up just past the crack? Did you think of that?

Just wonderin is all... ..... ;)

Want it even lighter( that oil-cooler block-off plate)?

Scribe/ trace the plate onto another sheet of plate same thickness delete cooler access holes and *presto!* Trim out your new cooler block off plate, minus welding & minus the material stock- every little bit counts.....

VERY COOL INDEED Greg!!

These cut-away pics *prove* why you can't 'HOG out' the stock ports!! Look at the Floor and Ceiling of the port cut away shot! Blend- not hog out.

Look at all that cooling!!:{
Look how beefy that push rod area is!?:(

Man!! They could have designed that head much better than that!
They definately limit the potential of the rock solid foundation it goes on!!!:{ :{

Greg-
Awesome book-ends ya got now!!:-laf ( for the shop manuals):D

What year casting was that head that was sacrificed? (it was a good cause to be sacrificed for!!)
:cool:

These pics Greg has graciously posted here tell exactly the extent of any port jobs done to our stocker head, looks like you can open up the mouth of the intake ports some, (not enough though) and maybe remove minute material off the intake ports divider wall- (inner wall not outer!) to off set the mouth opening but after that BLEND!!! Floor looks thin, Ceiling looks thin- all in all what a piece of **** we have to work with here! But for those looking to improve upon what we have -Gregs' pics here should tell you all you need to know!

NICE WORK GREG!!

A. K. A. THE QWICKEST DIESEL TRUCK ON THE PLANET:--)

Now about that new head... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... :D

Seeing these cut-away pics here makes the shops that sell ported heads:{ !!

Do you feel comfortable paying anywhere from $1000. 00 to $1500. 00 for port work on these heads?? (Not including the $1300. 00 for the head itself!!)

And you still don't get an optimum flowing head because they don't even touch the intake ports!! Should charge for bowl work and that's it!!

Heck with alittle time and knowledge even a guy in his little two car garage could achieve similar results- IF YOUR COMFORTABLE WITH KNOWING WHERE TO HOG AND WHERE TO BLEND!!

( I think any shop reading this is :{ -now!!)

Those who are reading this that was concidering on purchasing a ported head just saved up to $1500. 00:cool:

:D All in the name of KNOWLEDGE!!!:-laf
